Why doesy intertherm air conditioner run most of the time

First off it may be undersized or too small for the area being cooled. the thermostat maybe un level if it has a mercury bulb. The cooling contactor could be stuck, or you may have wires shorted together.

On cool will work for a short time. then will stop regardless of room temperature. If stopped for a short while then restarted will begin to spit water or ice.

Unit stopped by coil sensor when ice formed.

Problem due to weak capacitor of indoor fan motor/short of gas/coil & air filter dust blocked.
Replace fan capacitor/if short of gas, tap up some gas/clean coil and air filter.

Hope, it's helpful.

I trun my ac on to cool wait for some time and get nothing

The compressor is probably not running.
The Main reasons that this will happen
1 - A bad run capacitor (silver or metal capacitor)
It’s either shorted, grounded or open.
If it’s shorted a lot of times it will bulge out, (sometimes slightly)
2 - A bad start kit ( plastic capacitor and Relay connected to it )
The capacitor is either shorted or open
The relay either has an open coil between terminals #1 and #5
Or the relay is stuck.
Any time you change the capacitor or relay you should change
the other, especially if they are over a year old.
3 - A loose, burnt or disconnected wire
4 - Wired wrong
5 Compressor is open (windings burnt open)
6 Low on charge not getting enough cooling back to compressor, (Feel top of compressor to see if it’s hot it shouldn‘t be)
7 Some compressors have a black plastic overload under the compressor cap which could be bad.

RUNS BUT DOES NOT COOL TOO WELL.

if the compressor runs for a short time only it could be overheating due to a lack of refrigerant i would suggest finding a contractor who specializes in hampton bay to take a look at it

A/c

Sounds like your system either has too much, or too little refrigerant in it. Does not sound like the actuator at all.

A/C WORKS GREAT FOR A SHORT TIME THEN GOES WARM

you have too much sub cooling, creating ice to form on the condenser wich in turns gives you amazing cooling for a short time then when no more air can pass (b/c of the ice blocking the way) it warms up. next time look under your car after this problem occurs after a short time you will notice alot of water under your car. this is normal for this condition and in extream useage of the A/C system.

10 yrs ago i would tell you to go to Napa and buy a recharge kit, unfortunetly this has been banned due to CFC's and the Montreal air polution act in 1996.

This means you need to go and get a recharge from a service startino or your delarship.
