Fujitsu scansnap ix500

Hello! My brand new ScanSnap ix500 worked great for about 5 documents and then... nothing. Blue light is on and the icon is showing up in black/white. I use a MacBook Pro. I've gone through all of the troubleshooting steps in the "help" section of the ScanSnap Manager (including restart computer, unplug power and USB cable, etc.) and no luck. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

Problem solved. Ignore the "Windows XP approval" message & continue with the fix suggested in the troubleshooting section of the manual.

Hello,

I think the is an error between the printer and computer. But First, check the cord that connects the printer to the computer. It is possible that this cord may have been affected when it fell. Maybe that's why it not communicating with the computer.

Or, completely uninstall the printer from the system, re-install it, then try again. I hope you have the printer's software.

First, go to Start > control panel > printers.

Right click on each printer icon you see, scroll to delete and click. Make sure all the printer there are deleted.

Go back to control panel, click on Add/Remove Programs.

Disconnect the printer cord from the computer.

Uninstall every driver/software that is associated with the printer.

Restart your computer.

After your computer has been restarted, install the printer driver afresh and connect the printer to the computer.

If this doesn't solve the problem, please let me know.

Scanning duplex I get a line down the righthand side of all alternate pages?


With very limited information, I suspect if you observe closely on the side that has the line printing you will find a dark smudge on the glass. If this is found you should be able to use a little rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth an remove the smudge.

Everytime i try to scan any document using my Fujitsu ScanSnap S510, the blue light on the front-right side of the device blinks 3 or 4 times and nothing else happens (the document, therefore, is NOT...


I had a similar problem. All I did was unplug the USB cable from the scanner and reattach it. Sometimes I would have to close scansnap (blue "S" icon in the sys tray at the bottom right), and then power on the scanner.

My Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 only flashes 5 blue lights


I got off the phone with Fujitsu and i was told you need to make sure that the ScanSnap Icon is in the system tray without a Red Line cross through it, so if it is not in your system tray start the snap scan program, if it's disabled re-enable it and you should be good.

Application button (tab) missing in scansnap manager


Right-click on the ScanSnap system tray icon and de-select the 'Use Quick Menu' option. When you reopen the ScanSnap manager, you should now see the application tab.
