Changing Blue splash along bottom and side

I purchased an LG LCD 55" Television and I have this Blue Haze Splash that runs along the bottom and right side of the screen. It changes shape and size the longer the TV stays on. Guy I purchased it from has moved out of state. Any suggestions or explanations?

SOURCE: LG RZ-26LZ50 LCD Television-Solid Black line down the right had side of the screen

It's the driver tabs that operate that section of the panel. To have them repaired/replaced can be very expensive and is normally just replaced completely as a whole panel (at least while under warranty). If it is out of warranty, then get a few quotes over the phone. This will help dramatically when you explain to your wife that you are about ot go shopping to buy a new TV.

I find things like "Have I told you how good you look today" help when this process is taking place.

Sorry for the bad news.

SOURCE: LG 32LC2R screen goes black after 2 sec.

My LG 32lc7d 32 inch TV is 9 months old (December 2007 to September 2008) and now the screen goes black with sound and the channels will change I can hear them. Also when the TV is fine if I touch the remote it freezes the picture, so turn it off and on witch does not respond to the remote for five seconds, turn it on again & it works for 2 to 3 hours then same problem. LG claim its a software problem, well I got link to the firmware update down load to my memory stick and stuck it in the usb port on the back of the TV, software update fine no problem, TV reset all my preference are lost no problem I can set it how I like it ,but now worst things are happening the screen goes black after 15 to 20 minutes and no sound now ,so the firmware did not work but cased more problems and less viewing time .NNNOOO more LG product for me in life again .
I bought the TV for $1000 us and the DVD up converting player for $110 + sound system
So I could 1 remote to make life easer for me, but life is better for LG now since they have my money and all I have are their problems.
We should come together and attack LG about this problem or boycott them and their products for good, hundreds of thousands of people have this problem and nothing.
What’s the sense of a warranty if there no fix for your problems and you can’t get your money back. I have bought so many LG products and now no fix. There are millions of people who don’t have a $1000 us in there bank account..
I now feel like I was held at gun point and robbed by millionaire.

SOURCE: my lg lcd tv keeps flashing with the stand by

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV. Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired ofcourse) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companiesPhilips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failedin 2-5 years instead of 10-20. Thecapacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in allsorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems. Here are some options for you. 1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is itunder warranty?) Remember, TVs CONTAINHIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk. 2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cordplugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad capsreplace the entire board. The entireboard costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found at but supplies are limited. I would definitely shop around though. 3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill. Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourselfit will save you hundreds. This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be. I have a Tip/How TO tutorialon this site that may also help. Itgives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this isyour board you are in luck. Here is theLink: Fixingthe Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to helpguide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Hope this helps and if it does please rate itaccordingly. Good luck.Kaufman605
