While cooking apples, water and sugar in a pot on my son's glass oventop, the water boiled over. I tried to wipe the glass with a paper towel while it was still hot. It boiled over again, and I allowed the oventop to cool before cleaning it. My son can't get the burnt mess off of the glass with special cleaning cloths for that purpose. What can I tell him to do?

For glass top ranges there is a special scraper that takes a Gillette razor Blade and gets off all sorts of burned on mess. I use one of these ( came with the range) (Kleenmaid) and then polish it with the Cerapol creme made by hallmark. The blade soes not scratch the glass in any way and is recommended by distributors of glass top ranges.
