Question about Vacuums
Making a loud roaring noise. I have taken the belt off and the noise stops. I have replaced the belt and the noise continues but not quite as bad.

remove belt to brush roll and see if noise persists. if it stops, you probably need a brush roll. at least doing this will narrow down the fault area

Sounds like maybe your motor went bad, part # 2031052. Would sell for about $60. When the bearings go bad, they can be real loud as well if the fan on the motor when it gets damaged.
