Re: a new hardware found message

Remove the camera software completely. restart the computer/ plug in the camera making sure the upload switch is set Windows will do the rest and prestn a new drive in 'My computer' and the scanner camera wizard will come up. Modern computer do not need software to recieive images from external devices- cameras or card readers

I have a digital nikon camera. I cannot use it or remove it from my computer any suggestions

You didn't provide much info to work with, but it sounds like you're experiencing software problems. Try installing your software again, without further attempts to remove/uninstall what's already there. Hopefully the new install will overwrite and correct the problems.

Computer is not reading USB cable for digital camera

see many a times the drivers files are corrupted after a particular period of time due to loading of some other softwares or programs getting crosslinked with few necessary files.i would suggest you to uninstall the driver completely first then install it fresh again.its a common problem and will get solved after reloading fresh drivers again.thanks.

Computer doesn't recognize camera

Remove previous all installation/ file if any. Insert the Driver CD in the CD ROM again a wizard interface would be active, from that wizard complete the installation by clicking Next - Next. Do not plug the camera before fresh installation complete. If wizard ask to plug your camera, then plug it.

Camera not detected

I understand that you installed to your PC the software CD you received with the camera. Does it written there, if it is supporting your OS ? In case it doesn't support your OS, go to Canon wed site and look for your camera's drivers supporting your OS and download it to your PC. Good luck!

Can't upload pics; computer not "seeing" camera

The key to getting back to "It used to work fine;" is to make Windows "GO BACK IN TIME" to that moment when it last "It used to work fine;" occurred. How to do that. Try to pinpoint the exact date that it started acting badly. Now do this: START-ALL PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS-SYSTEM RESTORE. I'm hoping you actually have RESTORE utility turned on...Now select the restore date BEFORE it quit working. DONE! Windows will run as it used to run when all worked well. I use RESTORE all the time and I have 100% success rate!
