How to fix Dremel, it stopped working - Dremel 200-1/15 - 200 Series 2 Speed Rotary W/Atch & 15 Asst Accs

It's possible that the enameled copper coiling on the stator was compromised when it overheated creating a short. Sadly, unless you have a replacement stator is cannot be fixed. Sorry.

Although Supergrit Abrasives in Gettysburg, PA sells the sleeves and the Hook & Loop diamonds for use with the Dremel 6000, we do not repair tools. The 6000 is discontinued, but you can probably buy a used one that works on Ebay.

My Dremel 3000 suddenly stopped working also. No idea where the receipt was so i decided to investigate. I found one of the two stator windings had blown. I'd Barely used the thing, so that's the last dremel I'll be wasting my money on.

Mine died also. It's the on off switch. Where can I get parts?

they do that a lot dont they? sorry all you can do is strip it down and see if there is a fault in it that an easy fix but normaly they just go in the bin when they stop working

The motor is overheating. Those are not designed for any kind of heavy use. I would recommend the FEIN multimaster.

I would recommend going to Dremel.com and asking their tech section about this. I have one also and mine works fine other than a small amount of heat at the spindle area.

I would contact Dremel direct at 1-800-437-3635 or Dremel.com and talk with one of their techs about this tool. Let me know if this doesn't work

The Dremel 275 (and other series) have a plastic coupler and spline that connect the motor shaft to the collet shaft (where the tools attach). The plastic fatigues and disintegrates, causing the collet shaft to stop, even if the motor is still running. The fix is about $5.00 --- two parts from Dremel. The 275 case is a **** shell that opens with the removal of six T-10 Torx screws.
