Truing the fence on a Powermatic 66 table saw

There should be some screws on the bottom side of the fence that allow you to make adjustments. Loosen then slightly then set the fence to 90 degrees & then tighten them.

We just moved and forget how to put the flat screen onto the table top mount??

Most the time they come with a plastic insert. If you put this in you must remove it and you will see the table top insert holes. Set the stand on something flat and have someone help you guide it in [properly then put the screws back in that you had remove to get it off. General rule of thumb is the table top stand will go straight into the bottom of you TV and may be offset to the back side of the television. Good luck finding the screws as this is the most common lost part.

My fence is square to the table. How do I set the blade so it is square to the table? There is a 1\8" difference in the distance between the front and back of the blade in relation to the groove the miter...

I'm betting that the table isn't square to the blade. My Cabinet Makers Table Saw does the same thing - the top plate (the big heavy cast iron plate that weighs about 50 pounds) sits on top of the sheet metal box that houses the motor and motor lift. This cast iron plate is held onto the sheet metal box by 3 screws (usually).

Loosen the 3 screws and the cast iron plate can move around on top of the sheet metal box (the holes for the screws are large enough to allow 1/8 inch movement). Looking down from the top, you can rotate the cast iron plate clockwise and it will move the front of the blade closer to the fence and the back of the blade away from the fence. Counter-clockwise does the opposite.

For the best adjustment, use a dial indicator mounted to something that slides in the track of the table top. Position the dial indicator agains the blade and slide it back and forth in the track of the table top. This will accurately set the table top to the blad (so they are parallel within 0.0005 inches).

Then check the accuracy of your fence (sounds like this is good). Don't forget to check the alignment of your riving knife/guard & splitter to the blade (if it's off you can't feed wood because it will hit the splitter).

Just got a new Consew 206 but can't figure out how to install the knee lift onto the head. Can you help me? thank you.

First make sure your oil pan is installed. Sitting at the machine the opening should be to the right. Turn the table upside down. Then move the rod with the two brackets over the opening in the oil pan. The opening should be just below a part with a roller bearing on it. When the knee pad is moved the rod on the shaft comes in contact with the roller bearing and lifts the lever for the walking foot. The front bracket should be about 1 inch from the front of the table and the long rod centered roughly in the left third of the opening in the oil pan. Use a magic marker to mark the holes for the brackets then pre drill your holes. Test moving the rod because if it is too tight in the brackets it won't move when you move the knee pad. I used the part with the curved rod to make contact with the roller bearing. The part for the pad goes in front. Since there were no instructions and Consew was no help I figured it out by trial and error. Hope this helps.

I'm trying to attach supporting brackets to the rear of an LG SL90 TV. Should I use the same holes used for the supplied table top swivel mount?

Do not use the 4 holes for the table top swivel mount.

You have to use the 4 holes in the middle section on the back of the TV. These four hole are spead futher apart and require larger and shorter screws.

Good Luck.

Which bolts and screws are invoved with the Table Saw BT2500 tune-up/set-up? The blade and table relationship set-up.

I purchased a Book called "Table Saw Projects with Ken Burton". the book comes with a DVD which has a very comprehensive section dealing with tuning and setting-up a Table Saw. From this I was able to Identify the screws and bolts which were involved for each of the areas involved. I still believe that these instructions should be poart of the safety advice within the manufacturers manuals as a saw that is not set-up correctly can be dangerous.

I have a 20 year old table saw of unknown manufacturer (but all machne parts are metric). The spindle pulley (mounted on motor spindle - it accepts v-belt from motor pulley) keeps coming loose. i think the...

Simple, there are two options:
1) buy a new pulley from any hardware or home improvement store.
2) If threads are stripped from pulley, either retap with next larger size tap, or redrill new hole and tap with same size as the current size. Note the best way to keep pulley on is to have a set screw over the key and another at 90 degrees from keyway. Note 2 - Are you sure current pulley does have two set screws?

Drill Presses Installation

Here are a few instructions to follow while installing a Drill Press: Fix the column support to the base using the three screws provided. Slide the table clamp onto the column and align the table with the base and secure it in position using the table clamp lock. Place the head assembly onto the column and slide it down the column as far as possible. Align the head with the table and base and tighten the head locking grub screws with the hex key. Fit the depth scale. Attach the feed wheel. Secure the feed wheel in place with the cap screw using the hex key. Fit the chuck safety shield over the collar of the spindle nose and tighten the clamp screw. Carefully clean out the tapered hole in the chuck and the spindle taper using a clean cloth. Hinge up the shield. Push the chuck onto the spindle and lightly tap the chuck with a piece of wood to ensure proper fitting.
