If the discoloration is fairly recent, you can usually get rid of it by using exfoliating products, like facial scrubs, etc. try moisturisers that contain lactic or glycolic acid. if you're light-skinned, the facial scrubs will benefit you the most, whereas if you're dark-skinned, it'll probably worsen - thus stick to the moisturisers. Since your skin will be dried out due to exfoliating, please make sure you moisturise! I cannot tell you how important that is. Keep hydrated too.
I looked up some options available to you:
A.M.: Sunscreen

  • A.M./P.M.: Glycolic or lactic acid cleanser and moisturizer
  • Hydroquinone cream, OTC (like Ambi Fade Cream, $6), or prescription, $50, three to 24 weeks
  • Two or three monthly chemical peels, $100 to $150 each
  • For lighter skin: One or two KTP or Q-switched laser treatments, $250 to $500 each, or four to six monthly IPL treatments, $250 to $350 each
  • For darker skin: Four to six monthly fractional nonablative laser treatments, $750 to $1,500 each

It is quite obvious that this comes from being exposed to the sun. This is because the skin produces a huge amount of melanocytes. This can increase the amount of melanin found on the skin. As a result, the skin becomes darker but not in general but in spots.
Some of the natural remedies for this problem are:
a. Lemon contains vitamin C and other nutrients. Generally, it can also help lighten dark spots so that they may be reduced.
b. Green Tea has a lot of antioxidants that can help take away the toxins that can be found on the skin.
c. Buttermilk contains lactic acid and this will help exfoliate the skin and remove the dead skin layer to reveal the new skin.
d. Vitamin E is very beneficial for sun spots

The brown stains which you just mentioned are most probably by high concentration of melanin that is produced by your skin. It means your skin is photosensitive. You can do some icing, use aloe vera gel and apply honey to soothe the dark skin, but THE MOST EFFECTIVE way of preventing these brown stains is to use a sunscreen with SPF-60 and UV filters.

Use aloe vera, it's free. Just buy a big plant, or several, break off an inch or two of a stem, split open the edge with your fingernail, and smear it on. Do this several times a day. It's free. No side effects.

Large dark brown spots appearing after washing

Normally a washer does not cause a staining problem, but If something inside the washer has rusted, it could. I would check your water tank. Drain water from the drain cock at the bottom of the tank, and see how dirty it is. If it is dirty, you need to drain the water until it is almost clear.

Why does my front loading washer leave brown stains on some loads?

Hello friend, I appreciate your post!

I see you're getting brown stains on some of your loads of laundry within your Frigidaire washer. I have completed some research in regards to brown stains and that could be iron or manganese in the water supply, water pipes, or water heater. In order to restore discolored loads try a rust remover safe for fabric. Do not use chlorine bleach to remove these stains as it may intensify discoloration. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer: REDDISH BROWN STAINS FROM WHIRLPOOL GAS DRYER...

This is from not enough HOT loads.

Fatty deposits gather between the basket and tub during COLD washes.

Then they are being released in large numbers when you do your whites on HOT.

It is recommended to do 1 HOT load per week.

Do an empty load with some degreaser added (like Goo-Gone) on the fullest/hottest setting you have.

Several methods for cleaning the brown stains. Assuming they are rust stains you need to run a cycle without any dishes and a cleaner. Suggested cleaners are lemon juice or Iron Out. Some people use vinegar.

Racks should be available at your local appliance parts store or online. Appliance Parts at http://www.appliance-parts-warehouse.com and some at sears.com. Most are not difficult to install. Some require some thought to figure out how to get the old ones out.

Brown stains in the drum of my whirlpool dryer

Apparently a common problem with 4-5 year old Kenmore and Whirlpool dryers. The paint is rubbed off the back panel by the felt seal attached to the rotating drum. The bare metal gets rusty from the damp clothes. The rust is rubbed off by the felt seal. The entire felt seal will turn brown. The stains are transfered to the clothes. The rust stains can generally be removed by additional cleaning.
I'm going to replace the felt seal on the drum, clean the rust off the back panel and see how long it lasts. Seal w/ adhesive is $30-40.
Some have suggested painting the back panel, but i don't think fresh paint is going to last long. The original paint was probably electrostatically applied and maybe baked on.

Starting to leave brown oily like stain on clothes

The first place that I'd check would be the small metal screens inside the openings on the water inlet valve. They can get really rusted, epecially in areas with hard water, so I would recommend removing the water supply hoses and take a gander at the screens. They can sometimes release the iron oxide into the wash water and cause brown stains or blotches on clothing. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Brown stain underneath upper right side of motor

A brown stain would be an indication of coolant loss. Do you have to add coolant on a regular basis? If you are adding coolant frequently, weekly or more often it should be looked at. The top of the stain would be the source, probably where the head meets the block or at a frost plug. Hope this helps.

My Kenmore heavy duty tumble washer is leaving a light brown stain on white or light clothes. It is likely staining dark clothes but of course they are too dark to see a light stain. It is definitely...

The brown stains are likely coming from the felt drum seal. The OEM adhesive is tar based - and after time and use - breaks down.

You'll need a new felt seal - and the adhesive that is used should be silicone based... eliminating the brown streaks.

My Washing machine stains clothes; they come out with brown rusty stains. Otherwise the washing machine works fine. my washing machine is lessthen three years old and always give brown stains in white...

I had the same problem, and it turns out that it is NOT the seal. It is the liquid fabric softener. The fabric softener dispenser needs to be cleaned periodically or it gets a black waxy, goopy, build up. It is this same buildup that ends up staining your clothes with dark brown or black stains. Just remove the dispenser and wash it our very well and the problem will be gone.
