Computer does not boot up
The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

First try this unplug from AC, remove battery, plug in try to boot normally. If that fails Open BIOS, Boot Order or the BOOT MENU, Boot from HDD first, and save changes and reboot, if that fails try a system restore/recovery.

Primary slave drive fails

Go into the BIOS and make sure you are trying to boot from the Primary Master Drive first. If not, move the Master Drive to the 1st boot position.

If the above fails, you could just remove the power cord, remove the case and notice how the two drives are connected and remember it. There will be one cable that provides power to the drive from the power supply on each drive. Also, there might be one cable that connects both drive, or there might be one in each drive, etc. I would disconnect the power and cable on one of the drives and try rebooting. If it fails and you have one cable that connects both drives, try the other cable connection and reboot. If it still fails, then I would try doing the same thing with the other drive.

If all the above fails and your system has the IDE (whereas the cable has about a 2 inch end with about 20 holes that plug into the 20 pins on the hard drive) interface, remove the drive to check and see if the little pin on there along is set to Primary, Master or Cable Select. Normally on a two drive system they will be set to CS for Cable Select and the IDE Cable based on how it is plugged into the drives determines which is Master and Slave, but older systems might have the Master and Slave setup.

Power switches on but screen is blank

connect a monitor to the 15 pin vga connector, then boot from off .
If you see the picture booting on the monitor you have a screen issue.
could be a bad screen (about $100 used on ebay)
if it still does not light try reseating the memory (laptop off)
power on with no battery , if all else fails it may be the motherboard.

Monitor Display on TV

Try the following:
Power up the projector first. With the laptop hooked up but not powered on once projector is warming up begin booting laptop. If there is still no display once its projector is fully warmed up and laptop booted you can try using the (fn) key with the laptop monitor switching function key usually F4 which switches the display monitor to show on external, external and laptop or just laptop. If this all fails try changing resolution of laptop to something that might be more projector friendly.
Let me know how you go.

hi, try removing the batt press and hold the power down for 1 minute, dont replace battery yet, plug in charger, boot up then shut down. replace battery and boot.

remove the adapter while laptop is on and allow to completly drain(untill it switches off)

Belkin (F1DK102P) 2-port KVM Switch freezes

We have the same model and the same problem. The scroll lock combo did not work for us. You need to press Ctrl, Ctrl then up or down arrow.

The manual was a load of old Tom *** as it did not mention this.
