Question about Refrigerators
Posted by Anonymous on
Had the same problem. I tried cleaning it as instruction on the copany website with bleach and water. I also unplugged it for a couple of days to see if the lines were frozen. Finally out of frustration I put my mouth on the water dispenser, pushed the button, and sucked some water out and spat it out. After that I did the same thing again but blew into it instead. I did this a couple of times and my water dispenser went from a trickle to flowing like the day I first got it. Also, you should probably clean the water dispenser after doing this, just saying.

It's quite possible it is plugged by hard water deposits forming in the supply line as these lines are quite small. You can check if it is plugged by shutting off the supply line and removing it. After removal turn it back on but have the end in a bucket in case the blockage is in your fridge unit. If water comes out it is in the fridge. Usually there is a screen to prevent large particles from entering. Make sure that is clean. Try these and see if that helps. If it doesn't get back to me as the trouble shooting will get more intense. I'm hoping this helps.

The water line probably has a blockage. The first place to check is the on-off valve where the line to the refrigerator connects to the house water pipes. Mineral deposits often partially block these small valves.
Another possibility is within the water line in the refrigerator. I have opened up one of these lines using a length of plastic weedeater line.
