Can anyone tell me what aftermarket lamps worked and what ones don't? I see all kinds of different makes out there and I am sure some of you have bought them. some just the bulb others with the housing and thay look tempting at 1/3 the price of a orignal penasonic lamp. I am looking for a lamp with the housing. looking for any suggestions and/ or experince with certin brands thanks

I just bought the bulb and housing from a seller on ebay. Its an OEM part that comes with a one year warranty. That is why I made the desicion to buy it for $118. You can buy remanufactured parts for a few dollars less, but if you can get an original part why buy a recyled part.

I read on a different problem how the philips bulbs are better bulbs than the original bulbs. If you go that rought it will cost you about $149, just for the bulb and you will have to remove it from the housing. There are instructions on utube on how to do this. I went with the OEM part because of the price.

2007 Kia cerato hatch. Has anyone got experience in wiring. The issue I have is the rh Parker lights front and rear are not working also dash illumination not working and the hazard lights don’t work. and...

Your car is more of a wheeled computer than a conventional car so troubleshooting electrics is limited to fuses and visual inspection and a few basic tests at the lamps - unless a wiring diagram is available.

It is normal practice of many manufacturers to fuse the left and right parking light separately with one side also supplying the dashlights and the other side supplying the number plate lamp so perhaps a fuse has failed. Fuse details will be found in the original vehicle handbook.
Perhaps the hazard lights fuse has also failed but if it hasn't, again a wiring diagram will be needed...

Not sure what to say about the speedo as in theory that circuit is supplied differently, via an ignition circuit. Could be some dealer level diagnostic equipment will be needed to sort that one...

I have a 2005 jeep liberty. none of the 4wd lights on the dash light up when selecting the different 4wd modes, stopped working today. can anyone please help me with this

usa? not diesel?
why are you in 4wd? snow, ice, off road, do tell.
not sure what lamps are dead, no photo by you.
are you talking parking lamps dead in dash? called illumination
or the mode lamps. ????
where on the dash, the main cluster? where? TRY TO BE EXACT.
do you mean shift console lamps, ????? those are on the dimmer feed.
the best answer is get car serviced
or scan it, see if there are errors. to the 4wd system etc.

we cant do grinds here, we deaf and blind and....
find a shop , that can find LOCATIONS. of noise
only That works, ever.
grinding in all modes of use, parked, neutral. driving, hills, gears.
??????????
do you have any warning lamps glowing ,driving?
the lamps if the 4wd lamps are dead.
tell me you are not using 4Low mode on pavement, first.
most times fuse are first, 2007 this changes but 2005
there are 2 fuse boxes, cab and eng bay.

ON PAGE 166 in the oper guide
lamp 6 dead, 4low?
lamp 19 FULL TIME , dead or stuck on??????
or the switch bank dead?
command trac or select trac 4wd.? NV241 or NV242?
2 options day 1.

here is my guess,
you are using 4wd incorrectly
do tell what tires are sitting on.
the me it car is command or select trac opted
and all lever selections you tried.
EACH 4wd mode has rules.
rule one stay out of 4-low. unless off road

the opr guide is here if lost.
see the word secret , here.

http://jeepdied.com/books.html

command trac, 4w is not for driving on ice free pavemenet
Comman trac is part time 4wd, (the word part meas, ice or dirt)
select trac, is full time, (never in 2w low) 4H works on pavement even dry. page 240 in your op guide.
The rules on the 2 boxes are totally different.

Silverado radio wiring

Some trucks and gm cars have two kinds of systems one without a amp,and one without so judging by what you're saying you probably have one with a amp so yes you can but it is complicated and you would need to bypass amp so just get the kit that's required for your vehicle.

Bulb or Ballast?

If your old lamp is still working fine and the new lamp is not, then you bought a defective lamp. Get your money back or exchange the lamp.

Where's the fuse for the front step rail lights

I'm Kind of guessing that you are talking about the running board lamps when you say "front" That kind of threw me unless you have aftermarket running boards. Anyhow, the fuse for the running board lamps is located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see picture below). The fuse you're looking for will be in the number 15 position and should be a 10 amp fuse (see diagram of layout below). This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. i hope this helps and good luck.
