Either the drain hose is plugged up with ice and not dripping into evaporator tray, or the defrost unit needs to be replaced.

Ice cubes freeze from the outside, so the center of the cube is the last to freeze. Ice is pure water, only H 2 O, so as the ice cube freezes, all of the dissolved minerals are pushed to the center. Near the end of the freezing, there isn't much water left in the center of the cube, so these minerals become very concentrated, and they form the "white stuff" – the technical name is precipitate. The hardness minerals that cause the "white stuff" are not toxic.

Testimonial: "Brilliant - it all makes sense now! I'm 100 per cent satisfied that is what it's all about. Many thanks, erkes. You're a star..."
i had a similar problem with mine and the advice i got(possibly on here) was to leave the freezer door open to let the water supply pipe in the door defrost, put some blankets/ towels in the freezer to stop the
food defrosting,it worked for me and only took about 10 mins.

Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed
and PLEASE give a Thumbs Up for the effort. The Raz Shack
