Question about Apple iPhone Cell Phones
7 days ago my phone fell into a pool, I spent many precaution and put it in rice for 3 days no power. And work like a champ again for the last 4. Last night the screen shut off while the phone still is working. I can't see what I'm doing, but I can play music... Plug in password etc. I've already tried pressing home and power button but the reboot always shuts off after a few seconds... Any ideas?
I've dealt with a lot of cases of devices being dropped in water. Sometimes, you cann get lucky and get it dried off before damage happens. A lot of times, the effects occur later. The moisture has a way to find a spot and the corrosion takes a little while to happen. I'm not very helpful but it's a fact of life: electronics and H2O don't mix. Sorry!

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Black screen Sony Ericsson K850i
I just had the same problem. I tried everything including resetting the whole phone upgrading the software etc etc.
I was convinced it was a softare problem, but my screen only went black when i press the buttons on one side of the keywpad so i started thinking it may simply be hardware related.
I tried taking off the case but didnt have the screw drivers to do this.
Eventually in a fit of rage I threw my phone on the floor (Carpetted floor) and too my surprise the problem got better! I basically gave my phone a few more whacks and it started to work fine again.
I am not suggsting you start whacking your phone, but i imagine if you took off the case and re-fitted it this would work.

SOURCE: iPhone Black Screen, and nothing
Plug the iPhone into your MacBook, make sure the mac is plugged into a power source and open iTunes, if iTunes detects the iPhone, re-sync it from last back-up ... This should make the iPhone crash, reset and be back to normal. If not, hold down the sleep and home button, keep holding it after the apple logo appears, until it shows a USB plug into iTunes sign, the plug the iPhone into the mac and it should happen as before. Good luck cheers
