You can download the wireless and device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windows drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

doesn't sounds like you can find drivers for windows 7, but you may want to install the XP drivers on your computer instead (which might work just the same)

Stuck At Detecting Adapter

Disconnect it, remove any software that was installed and restart the computer. Do not connect the device until you finish installing the device's software or the software installation prompts you to connect the device.
If that doesn't work, here's Microsoft's solution:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly
If that doesn't work, go to Netgear's website for support and/or post the problems in the forums.
I hope this helps.

Need Windows 7 driver

http://www.startech.com/Networking-IO/Adapter-Cards/PCI-Express-10-100-Dual-Profile-Ethernet-Card~PEX100S

download the drivers, use the one that is for windows vista, instead of running the driver installer that comes with the it go to the folder that called WINVISTA then go to a folder called 32 if using 32-bits or 64 if using 64 bits OS, inside that folder you will find 3 files extract then to a place you can remember. then go to control panel, device manager, look for the device that has a yellow icon click on it, click on update drivers, click on browser my computer for driver software, click browse, search for the place where you have extracted the drivers from before select the folder containing the drivers, click next and wait until windows installs the drivers.

usually a 85% of the windows vista drivers will work in windows 7.

I am having installing my dynex wireles g usb adapter because it says the install driver is not compatible with windows 7 64 bit. Is there a way to install the driver?

I'd suggest installing the device drivers in the Compatibility Wizard. Remove that hardware device in Device Manager, right-click on the driver executable/installer file and select the Compatibility tab; click the checkbox before Run this program in Compatibility mode for option and select Windows Vista in the list-down box; then try installing the device driver. In addition, you can use the Windows XP driver for testing.

If the problem still persists, please understand that Windows 7 is a new operating system (only the beta version) and whole driverstore has been reprogrammed; some old driver is not compatible with new OS. I suggest that you should wait for another period of time till the retail version is released and push the vendor company to upgrade their device driver. Thanks for your time and understanding!

Good Luck!

I have a new dell desktop w/windows 7 and have this wireless adapter i have tried the driver downloads from belkin but it still will not work

try this one:

1. right click on the driver installer (.exe file) then choose properties.
2. click on compatibility tab.
3. on compatibility mode, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
4. choose between windows xp sp2 or 3 (sp3 usually works fine.), or windows vista sp1 or 2 then click apply.
5. run the driver installer, and see if it solves the problem.

let me know if it helps. thanks!

WG111v3 wont stay connected to internet. I am using Windows 7

This is a driver issue as it isn't written for Win 7.
Here is how to Install them so they may work. Download your driver you wish to install. If it's in a zip/rar file then extract it to your desktop. You should have a simple .exe file sitting on your desktop to install the drivers, as normal for XP. Right click the .exe file and select "Properties". Then select the tab called "Compatibility" Now check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Make sure "Windows XP Service Pack 2" is highlighted. Now apply the settings and run the installer. This should work for most drivers, but not all

Not compatible with new computer windows 7

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg
