Dear gents, I face problem in hoover HDW1400 dishwasher machine Error E1 kindly need your support to solve this issue

The E1 error most likely means that the dishwasher identified a slow fill issue. First, make sure that the inlet water connection is not leaking and that the water valve is open. Make sure that the incoming water is as hot as possible from your water heater. (Wash some items by hand first.) Next check the inlet valve and those connections. Check the voltage across the valve to make sure that it can open. (If the valve failed in the closed position, there will be no water in the dishwasher when you open it in the middle of the cycle.)

Next check the float valve to ensure that it is rising and falling properly. If the float is blocked in up position, the washer will assume that it didn't properly fill and stop operating. Check the switch as well to ensure that the signal for the float position is properly being provided to the CCU.

I hope this helps. Unfortunately, I can't find the HDW1400 model number to assist you in obtaining any replacement parts. Please check the model number. If the model number given inside the door of the dishwasher is different than that given above, please add a comment with the full model number of your dishwasher. If your unit is under warranty, contact Hoover directly.

if it is not filling, but continuing the circuit, the first thing i would check is your float switch make sure its not stup up
or remove the toe kick and look under the machine

I stupidly put washing up liquid in my very old Bosch SPS 21/24 as i had run out of dishwasher tablets - a few bubbles leaked out but all seemd fine and now it makes all the right noises but nothing...

Take a shop vac and remove all the water and suds.
No shop vac...use a towel or sponge.
Then use a pot to manually fill the dishwasher with cold water. Set it to wash a few seconds then go to pump out setting.
Re-fill with cold water and repeat this process until the normal sounds return and the washer is clear of suds.
HOT water will not work. It only makes the suds worse.
COLD water only.
Repeat repeat repeat ubtil clear.

Loud rattling grinding noise when pump is running, no water enters the machine.

Make sure the water is turned on to the machine, if it is then it sounds like a faulty water fill valve, just replace the fill valve, they can sometimes be cleaned but I would never trust one, they can always stick in the on position later and flood your house. Check to see if the valve is geting 120v ac before replaceing the valve, if it's getting voltage and no water is flowing then the valve is bad. You will need to borrow or buy a multi-meter for this test.

My Tricity Bendix won't work

Check out the water inlet solenoid valve if this is clicking then it is probably the water level pressure switch which appears to be controling the flow of water mechanicaly dependent on whether the water is high enough in the machine and therefore giving enough pressure to close the switch .This may be stuck closed.

Won't start, made strange noise.

JenZ, first check out the float assy. inside the tub and make sure that it is not stuck in the up position. If that is ok, you will have to remove the bottom panel and on the left you will see the fill valve. There will be a two wire harness going to it. You will have to see if you have power going to it when you start the dishwasher. If you have 120V. going to it and still no water, remove the water line to it and see if you have water. Shut it off at the supply first. If you have water and power and still no fill, replace the inlet valve...part number. 8283345. back

Dishwasher doesn't stor filling

If the dishwasher's water flow doesn't automatically shut off, the float switch is faulty or the timer is stuck on "Fill" or the water inlet valve is stuck open. To test the float switch, you'll need an inexpensive volt-ohm meter (or multi-tester). 1) Unplug the dishwasher. 2) Reach into the cabinet and lift the dome-shaped plastic float switch. If it doesn't lift, remove the plastic top from the stem, scrub the stem clean, and then replace the dome. If it moves up and down freely, go on to step 3. 3) Note which wires are attached to the float switch's terminals and, using small pieces of tape, label them for later reference. 4) Set the volt-ohm meter's dial to Rx100 and touch the two probes to the terminals. When you lift the float, the tester's needle should show an infinity reading and, when you let the float drop, the needle should show 0. If it doesn't, the switch is broken and will need replacement. Unscrew it from the tub and replace it.
