Cleaning the washing machine

I have a SW80USP silver washing machine and have lost the manual. I want to clean the bowl but now sure how to go about it as I have black pulp like particles in the every wash even tho I have put the machine through the clean cycle. Was there something I should have put in the machine to clean it with?
