SOURCE: my fusion power plant fp1404 is in status mode

Hello carlosvandan,

According to the Fusion troubleshooting guide, there are three possible conditions that would result in the amp not working, but the status LED on:

1) Fuse on the amplifier blown - replace fuse with correct type and amperage.
2) Amplifier too hot - move amplifier to vented area - turn head unit down.
3) Speaker wires shorted - check that there are no speaker wires shorted to another wire or to the vehicle chassis.

Hope this helps.

Can i connect a subwoffer and 2 6 inch 3way speakers to one 2 channel amplifier?.

No, it wouldn't sound the same, because your subwoofer speaker, works and sound's differently from your 3way speakers, and 3 way speaker's mostly, the wattage are lower than the subwoofer in this way you'll just blow-up your 3way speakers.

I mixed up connections of battery pole with ammplifier pole

check the fuse protection of your amplifier then replace it if blew up..but if still blow again some parts in you amplifier was damaged...like choke filter coil in DC section of your amplifier...look for elec..tech..to repair your amplifier.

Fusion amp soild bold red when the radio comes on

The amplifier is in protection mode.
3 reasons for this...

  1. Improper Load/overheat - wrong impedence voicecoils or wired improperly below rated impedence.
  2. Grounded Power - speaker wires touching, power wire touching ground,
  3. Internal component failure.
if the amplifier will still not go out of protect mode after removing the speakers and jumpering the remote wire to the + terminal - your amplifier needs professional repair.

Thanks for using FixYa - a good rating is appreciated for taking the time to answer your FREE question.

Connecting 4 bass speakers to one amp?

If you have a 4 channel amp and 4 speakers and each speaker is connected to each of the 4 channels you are just fine.
A stereo amplifier has 2 channels, typically labeled left and right and each channel has an amplifier. A 4 channel amplifier has 4 amplifiers. With one speaker on each channel, there is one speaker on each amplifier. Audio amps are referred to as amps or amplifiers, although if they have more than one channel it would be more correct to call them something like 'multi-channel amplifier' or 'multi amplifier speaker driver'. Semantics.
