Why i cant open internet explorer

When you click the Internet Explorer icon, window may flash a second and quits. Or, it may show an Error-Reporting dialog. This may be due to a malware Browser Helper Object which causes Internet Explorer process to terminate. If you see the Error-Reporting dialog, click "to see what data this report contains" and identify the Module Name causing this error. In most cases, it may be the malware DLL; in which case, reinstalling Internet Explorer may not help.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com and follow this:
1. Start Ad-Aware.
2. Click "Check for Updates", "Connect" and download the latest pattern file if available. and click Finish
3. Click "Start", "Next"
4. After the scan is finished, click "Next"
5. Select all the items (checkboxes)
Right click on any object in the "Scan result" list and choose [Select all objects]
6. Click Next and click OK to confirm removal.

Internet explorer finds a problem with the web ppage and wont open the game the rooms are there but wont let me into them i have updated my flash player and adobe reader etc

Try This:

How to Reset Internet Explorer settings
By resetting Internet Explorer settings, you return it to the state it was in when it was first installed on your computer. This is useful for troubleshooting problems that might be caused by settings that were changed after installation. When you restore Internet Explorer's default settings, some webpages that rely on previously stored cookies, form data, passwords, or previously installed browser add-ons might not work correctly. Resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings does not delete your favourites, feeds, and a few other personalized settings. See the table below for a complete list of all settings and information about whether they are reset or maintained.

Resetting Internet Explorer's settings is not reversible. After a reset, all previous settings are lost and cannot be recovered. Rather than resetting everything, you might want to reset specific settings or delete your webpage history.
To reset Internet Explorer settings use the following procedure
You need to make sure you have Closed any Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
Open Internet Explorer and Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
1.png Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
2.png In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
3.png When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the settings, click Close, and then click OK.Close Internet Explorer.
Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.

Unable to install internet explorer 8. it downloads but wont install

What you have to do is when you start the Internet Explorer 8 installation you should select the Install Updates check box in the setup wizard. Also, you can temporarily disable your antivirus. If those methods won't work, check Internet Explorer's official website for details.

I hope I helped you!

My computer wont let me run any program or download anything. When I try to start a program i get a message saying "Open with" and when I choose something it wont open.

HERE ARE SOME REASONS FOR IT
1.This behavior occurs most often after you scroll the screen one way (for example, up), and then scroll back in the opposite direction.
solution:-Disable smooth scrolling in Internet Explorer:
In Internet Explorer 4, click Internet Options on the View menu. In Internet Explorer 5, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
  1. Click the Advanced tab.
  2. Click the Use Smooth Scrolling check box to clear it, and then click OK.
  3. Change the display settings to a lower resolution and fewer colors in the color palette:

  4. Click Start, point to Settings, point to Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
  5. Click the Settings tab.
  6. In the Color Palette box, click 16 Colors or 256 Colors, and then move the Desktop Area slider to the far left (640 By 480 Pixels).
  7. Click OK, and then restart your computer.

Internet explorer will not start. I have windows xp home edition and when the problem first stated I had IE 7 I have since upgraded to IE 8 and it still wont work. I have also tried resetting internet...

1. Go on start menu and find "control panel"

2. Once you've clicked on "control panel" click on "network and internet"

3. Click on "Internet options"

4. Click on the "connections" heading

5. Click "set up" and connect it up to your internet. Make sure internet explorer is also set as your default browser. How to set it as default browser - Open internet explorer (with connection or without)click on Tools> Internet Options. Click on the Program tab, then click on the Make Default button.

If that doesn't work -

1. Go on start menu and find "control panel"

2. Once you've clicked on "control panel" click on "network and internet"

3. Click on "internet options then the "programs" heading

4. Click on "make default"

If that doesn't work check on network and sharing centre on your control panel and make sure your 100% connected to the internet.

If you are and my connecting up to the internet didn't work try contacting your internet provider.

Hope 1 of my two solutions helped :)

I e wont let me download anything

Need more info. But I would start by guessing that your security settings in Internet Explorer are set to high and you have downloads disabled. In the Internet Explorer toolbar go to Tools, Internet Options, Security, and enable file downloads. There are other options you can try, but see if that works first.
