I have a Extensa 4420-5963 with Vista Home and there is a switch for Bluetooth in the front of the laptop but I do not know how to make work the bluetooth. I purchased a bluetooth mouse and I want to connect it.
In the manual of the mouse says that I should go to Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Bluetooth but when I go to hardware and Sound there is no Bluetooth option or tab.
I move the switch for the Bluetooth in front of the laptop and I see a message like "no bluetooth device".
Should I download any driver to make possible the mouse with the laptop using bluetooh?
Is the Bluetooth built in the laptop? or should I buy some USB Bluetooth adapter in order to be able to connect the latop to my bluetooth mouse?
Thank very much in advance for your answer
Actually Acer use the same laptop case for some of their models, so the acer 4420 doesn´t have built-in bluetooth, you won´t find any driver for the bluetooth cause that reason. I have an extensa 4420-5910, have a bluetooth switch in the case but no bluetooth, if you check at Acer´s web page it say thet some models doesn´t have built-in bluetooth but the switch is in the laptop case... On the other hand, if you install an external bluetooth device, the case switch will be usefull to turn it on and off.
If your laptop came with Bluetooth you can go into the BIOS to enable the device, you also may need to install the driver from the CD that came with your laptop.
Be EXTREMLY careful not to change any other settings in the BIOS as if you do not know, you can make your computer UNBOOTABLE.
Then you will need to install the driver for your mouse.
Good Luck.
