How do I get the programs to repeat daily?

This should be explained in the instructions. Some timers allow you to select certain programs for certain days of the week.

Can the timer be turned off for periods of time without losing the settings and how to ?

1) Copy following link to identify timer and download possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/UPM-timers-and-manuals.html

2) Unsure which timer you have.
Digital wall timers usually have back-up that holds memory for certain length of time before current time disappears.
Usually the programs remain indefinitely until timer is manually reset.

3) Why do you want to turn timer off?
Usually in-wall timers consume 3 watts of power per year.
Contrast big screen TV consumes 3 watts per hour standby loss when TV is turned OFF.

Why does my tv turn off automaticly

Some tvs have a sleep timer on it and if it is accidently programmed the tv will turn off at a certain time. You may want to look at the users manual for more info. Or call a local place that fixs tv's for some more input before paying someone or getting a new tv. I had a tv once and it did the same think. I had to get into the menu with the remote and figure it out it had something to do with a set sleep timer so the tv would shut off at a certain time if the timer was set. It sucks if you dont have a remote though hopefully you do. Good luck. M Some tvs have a sleep timer on it and if it is accidently programmed the tv will turn off at a certain time. Cannot set for a second watering time for certain areas of lawn. Have a Orbit 6 Station. Certain areas of lawn have been replaced and require additional watering.

Set up a B Program for the zones that need extra watering.
Say you want zone 2 and zone 3 to run 20 minutes every day in addition to your normal watering.
Set B Program, put Z2 and Z3 time of 20 minutes in, set a start time that is away from your normal watering time, say 6:00 pm. Set every day watering.
Your normal program will water and Z2 and 3 will water every day, too.

0192773 installed a week ago, started but didn't complete timing. (1) today the face is blank, responds to no attempts. (2) lost my insruction sheet.

Utilitec 0192773 instructions appear on link below:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-0192773.html

I have tested this timer.
But there is no certain way to know what problem your timer is having.

1) Instructions say to reset timer when you have problem: This is true for most timers.
Simply press reset button for 3-4 seconds.
Screen should display. If not, timer has probably gone bad.
Reset clears all programming, and you need to reprogram timer.

2) If timer worked correctly at one time, then your wiring is good, so wiring is not suspect.

3) When electronic timers malfunction, suspect #1 is line interference.
Buy cheap circuit analyzer from home center and plug into outlet on same circuit breaker.
If line is not clean, then track problem back to light fixture or fan or defective switch, defective outlet. Use process of elimination by disconnecting light fixture, and then outlet, etc.

4) Another suspect is timer programming. If programs overlap or conflict, then timer will not operate as expected. Review timer programs: Press PROG button to scroll through on-off settings. To delete program, hold down RESUME button. Make program schedule before starting, and review programming steps shown on link above.

5) I burned up a 0192773 on purpose by adding 240V to see what would happen. The first time, reset restored timer display. Second time, the timer was bad. I bought another from Lowes and then returned bad timer.

Also take advantage of fixya phone service.

How do you set this to go on at a certain time and off at a certain time for the whole week.

The ST01C timer has 40 available programs.
You are going to use 1 program.
First, you set program1 ON time
And then set the days-of-the-week to ALL
Next, you set program1 OFF time
And set the days-of-the-week to ALL

The days for the ON and days for the OFF have to be the same.
The timer gives you choices of M-F -or- WDK weekdays -or- ALL for all 7 days

The steps are shown in section 6 of the manual
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-st01c.pdf

The following page has large easy-to-read ST01C instructions:
Set ON-OFF times is shown in step 4
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html

The important thing is that both the ON and OFF times have days set to ALL

I have programmed the timer and it doesn't turn on/off. What did I do wrong? thanks!

People seem to have a problem getting the Woods 59377 programmed.

Solutions have been posted but nobody posted back and said, oh, that's what happened, and here's what to do. So without feedback, it's hard to say where the problem is for sure.

After looking at the programming steps myself several times, I believe the most confusing part is the 'blocks of days.' As a result, people may be entering a 'conflict' in their ON OFF times.

For example, if program 1 says ON at 7 and OFF at 8 for certain days, but program 8 says the opposite, then the timer will not function as expected.

The suggested solution is to make a chart of ON OFF times before programming. And then carefully watching the screen for prompts to make sure each ON time has an OFF time.

Re-post your solution and it will help others. Thanks in advance.

How to set timer

Hello.
I just made two youtube videos on this Westinghouse Tri Mode Digital Outdoor Timer 28499. The first video shows how to set the day and time. You can find it here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV7Fj6TMNMw&feature=related

The second video details how to program it to go on and off at certain times of the day on certain days of the week. You can find this video here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSVN2V8EE5s&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_608324

I did my best to demonstrate how to do this.
Thanks
