SOURCE: Tile Saw

i know blades on tile saws don't have to be super tight, i'm not familar with that kind of saw, i put a wrench on the nut and hold on to the blade with my hand and hit the wrench with a rubber mallet, and of course have the unit unplugged

SOURCE: I have a 10" ROK tile saw which shakes violently

MAKE SURE THE BLADE IS RUNNING TRUE, UNPLUG SAW ! BRING THE BLADE DOWN TO THE CUTTING DECK, WITH YOUR HAND TURN THE BLADE, AND WATCH WHAT THE BLADE DOES. THERE SHOULD BE NO SID TO SIDE OR UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT IN THE BLADE ! THERE IS LITTLE WASHER KITS THAT MAKE CENTER THE BLADE TO THE DRIVE. OR IF THE BLADE WIGGLES WHEN ALL IS CENTERED, IT MAY BE A BAD BEARING IN THE BLADE HEAD.... IF I WAS OF HELP HIT THE YES BUTTON.. THANKS JAY.. THE MOTOR REPAIR GUY IN LONGWOOD FLORIDA

I'm trying to change the blade on my Plasplugs tile wet saw, after not having used it for over three years. No matter what I do, I can't get the nut off! I've tried WD-40, graphite, hammering...

Try rotating the nut COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.

Usually, nuts and bolts are Righty-Tighty, Lefty-Loosy, but frequently saw blad nuts use a Lefty-Tighty, Righty-Loosy.

They are built so that when the blade starts to turn, it puts a momentum on the nut that tightens it, so that a loose nut won't come flying off, and get someone injured.

I purchased the new Ridgid tile saw named " The Beast". Initially it looked like a great saw buy after cutting a few ceramic tiles I began to notice that it cuts with a slight curve. I could not find any...

Its either the speed of the blade ( mine came with its speed at half rate), or its the crappy blade they give you with the saw. If a cut is bowing your blade is having a tough time with material. This often happens with tough porcelain tiles and not using a porcelain blade.

Need to change the blade on a plasplugs diamond wheel wet saw

The shaft threads seemed to be stripped and you may have to get a set of Torx bits or if not then one bit for the torx screws to take them off. If the threads are stripped on the shaft then you may have to replace it.
