My Wolfgang Puck WPEM0020 Super Automatic Espresso/ Cappuccino Maker worked great out of the box. Then I adjusted the 1-cup capacity and everything was OK too. Then I customized some other settings (strength, brew quantity, etc) and now it brews a very weak cup of coffee. When it starts, the coffee and crema coming from the spout look rich and delicious. Then, about half-way through the brewing process, the liquid coming from the spout turns to hot water and weakens the brew. Any suggestions to alleviate this problem?
What I have tried so far: -Removed/replaced/reseated breww group; -Cleaned bean hopper, -Tried setting intensity to 'Bold'. None of this has worked. Please help.

Sounds like there is not enough coffee to make a solid puck. If you get crema, grind coarseness sounds ok. A finer grind will produce less coffee grounds for the puck and increases chance of clogging.
You may have to balance grind size with amount of crema to get solid puck.
Big problem with these is you want dark roast for espresso, but oil on beans clogs grinder. Are you using a dark roast? A medium roast works better in these. Or, can you increase the grind time? My Super-auto had a program option to increase time. But not in reg instructions. Got it from authorized repair facility.

coffee-steam-espresso-and-cappuccino-maker--ecm160-np-/ECM160-NP.html ..... Thecoffee grounds don't come out wet like the other unit. ..... too much as the steam pressure only (no pump) isn't enough to force the water through the "cake".
exact same lid is on the Wolfgang Puck WPTPCM010 coffee maker. (It's
exactly like the Starbucks one - same size & fit.) Call (800)
275-8273 and order part # WPTPCM010-6; the product description is "LID
FOR CARAFE". It will cost you $4.99 + 5.00 shipping. My Starbucks
coffee pot works PERFECTLY again. Just make sure that you put the lid
on the carafe correctly before you use it, since the seal is new.
