My TV is a WEGA KV-32FS100. A channel number, 3, is showing on the main picture. How do I get rid of this? This is not a PIP set. This has shown in the past but disappeard after a few seconds. Not it...

On the Sony TV remote control is a button labeled "DISPLAY". Push that button to cycle through the different display options until the on-screen display turns off.

'03' is displaying on my screen

First try, using the remote, pushing the display button until the display is turned off (three to four depressions on the remote display botton. Second try, unplugging the tv for at least 2 minutes then plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv if you have lost the original remote with the display bottton.

If you can program a Comcast remote or another universal remote that has an info key, you can get rid of it. I just succeeded in programming my comcast remote thanks to Dave Taylor:

Once the remote is programmed, hit the "info" button and watch your frustration disappear!

Too much yellow in picture

The problem with the set is that the blue gun has gone weak, and not emitting at par with red and green guns in your picture tube. Turn of the blue screen and get the grainy display on the screen (detach the cable) and enter into service mode to fine tune until you get a perfect or black and white grain pattern.

Channel display

Get an original remote and follow the instructions in the booklet that came with the set. If you have lost this, you may be out of luck. Universal remotes frequently do not cut the mustard!Sanyo, being fairly user friendly, sells replacements, as do others. Look around for one. There is probably a "Display" button or something obvious you need to press to get rid of this. Losing the original remote can be a gigantic "Gotcha!"
