Doo, the xs has live view. Hit the menu button, go to the 5 colum, enter Live view function settings. And enable it. That easy!! to use auto focus you hold down the "zoom out." button

You can't. LCD is only info and playback. Some SLR models feature "live-view" which allows you to shoot using the LCD for framing. If you are used to using a compact digital, this is a bit of an adjustment for you.

Rebel XS was working fine... yesterday, all of a sudden, the LCD screen went blank and it displays 'busy' when trying to take a picture. Recharging the battery and replacing the sd card didn't change...
