Question about Kitchen Ranges
Left eye burner dial will not engage and send signal to the burner eye to come on and I presume if it came on it might not turn off. After pushing the dial in and then turning it,it feels like an uncoiled spring being wound up and will slightly turn back a little upon release of the dial. Is there a relatively easy fix as well as inexpensive repair to this that I may be able to do myself. We have just sold this residence and need to repair this dial prior to inspection. Thank You, Tom

SOURCE: ceramic/glass top stove
Lift the ceramic top and look at the burnner to see if it is bad or not.
You only have to take 2 screws in the front of the ceramic top at the bottom, just open the oven door and look at the corners.
Don't forget to unplug the stove first

check the burner socket, it is likely that contact is being lost where the burner connects to the hardwired portion of the system (the socket). It is not unusual for the socket to "burn up" when there is a poor connection to the burner resulting in the burner being replaced and the new burner not working or working intermittently.

Turn signals flashing is the confirmation of alarm system being on.I thought both sides flashed but if alarm is faulty guess that's messed up too. Try starting from stratch with alarm, disarm it[disconnect neg wire at battery]then reconnect wire and when that sets off alarm turn it off in normal way. That should get things back on track.Plus, try replacing the flasher unit, don't know why this works but I've heard of it.

I have a GE Spectra smooth stove top and it has two burners in one, The problem is that the inside burner is not working. I need to find out how I can get into the stove to see how to fix it. Does anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it?

SOURCE: I have a Samsung Induction
"SE" error means you
have a shorted membrane keypad.
There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or in the back cover, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.
