Question about Kitchen Ranges
Left rear element dial will not engage and send a signal to the element to come on. When turning the dial after pushing it in it feels like an uncoiled spring being wound up and actually springs back a little bit after release. Is there a simple and inexpensive fix to this problem that I can do myself or will I have to have a service tech. We are old folks and don't have a lot of money! We have just sold our residence and need to repair this prior to house inspection. Thank You, Tom

It is a 4x4. The "yellow" looking item in between/inside the black spring coil seems to be out of its joint. When I compare the left vs the right, the left side is sitting up high, while the right side appears to be settled into place.

I slammed the door shut one time and the door wood not open at all. I had to take the inside door handle off and found that the cables simply came off of their post (inside the door) on the outside part of the door handle. More than likely only one cable has come off its post on your van. I hope this helps!

It's probably the emergency brake cable that is stuck. Check that first. When I get a drum brake that is totally frozen up (like been sitting for 40 yrs) I often use 2 or 3 pry bars, WD40 and short handle sledge hammer to pry a little on both sides, liberally keep penetrating oil squirted on the shoes and tap on all sides. Eventually drum will come off, but sometimes it takes like maybe 1/2 hour. Shoes will have to be replaced, but they are probably shot anyway. The drums for the caravans are cheap, so I would not only get them, but the spring kit from the parts house as well.

I had the same problem. It is pretty easy to fix. You have one of two options to follow.
1) Push down moderately hard on the left mouse button. After 2 mins or so, and the cap should back on to the button on the bottom
2) if number 1 doesn't work get a needle or pin and lift the left mouse button off. Then just apply very little, not even a drop, maybe half of a drop to the button and apply the cap back on and push down.
