Have programmed a new pin, but the old pin still works. How do I get rid of the old pin? Have tried multiple times and the new pin works, but so does the old one.

If you hold the smart/learn button in for 6 seconds it will erase all the codes from memory and then program the keypad. Just remember before you start that none of your other remotes will work and you will have to program them.

How do i change the numerical code?

How to change or program code on your Craftsman Liftmaster keyless keypad made by Chamberlain.

1. Program using the "Learn" Button

2.
Within 30 seconds, enter a four digit personal identification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad. Then press and hold the ENTER button.

3. Release the button when the motor unit lights blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.

Program using the Multi-Function Door Control

NOTE: This method requires two people if the Keyless Entry is already mounted outside the garage.

  1. Enter a four digit personal identification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad. Then press and hold ENTER.
  2. While holding the ENTER button, press and hold the LIGHT button on the Multi-Function Door Control. Both of these should now be held down at the same time.
  3. Continue holding the ENTER and LIGHT buttons while you press the push bar on the Multi-Function Door Control (all three buttons are held).
  4. Release buttons when the motor unit lights blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.

Change an Existing, Known PIN

If the existing PIN is known, it may be changed by one person without using a ladder.

  1. Press the four buttons for the present PIN, then press and hold the # button. The opener light will blink twice. Release the # button.
  2. Press the new 4-digit PIN you have chosen, then press ENTER.

The motor unit lights will blink once when the PIN has been learned.

Test by pressing the new PIN, then press ENTER. The door should move.

Your new Keyless Entry must be programmed to operate your garage door opener

How do I change the code on our liftmaster 1/3 H.P. gargage opener

To program the keyless entry, first locate the smart/learn button. On the chain drive models, this button is on the end farthest from the door. On the belt and screw drive models, it is on the right side as you face the door from the opener. You simply press and release the smart/learn button. You now have 30 seconds to enter your four digit PIN number into the keypad and hold the enter button for five seconds. Wait one minute and test the keyless entry by entering your four-digit PIN number and pressing enter.

With some Security+ models, you can also program your Model 940CB Wireless Keyless Entry without climbing a ladder, right from your Multi-Function Control Panel. Simply enter your pre-selected code and press and hold the enter button on your Keyless Entry. Then press and hold the light button and the pushbutton on your Multi-Function Control Panel. The garage door opener lights will flash to confirm that the Keyless Entry has been successfully programmed.

To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next, remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate, and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed. Liftmaster Keypad does not operate door

You can try programming the keypad but I have a feeling it has just quit working. To program it: locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in your PIN and press enter.

Can't delete pin number from 377LM wireless keypad

The way to do this is to hold the smart/learn button in for 6 seconds. This will erase the memory and none of your remotes or keypad will work. You will have to program them all but your extra PIN will be gone.

Sears Craftsman Garage Door Opener Wireless Keypad Model and a LiftMaster Chamberlain Professional Garage Door

Hello,

I had the same frustrating dilemma with my Craftsman LiftMaster garage door and Keypad, Model 139.53754-01 (dated 10/06; and has the # 315 MHz).

To resolve “the dilemma”, grab your keypad, climb up on a ladder to access the garage door opener’s motor unit. On the right side of the motor unit, remove the white plastic casing by pressing buttons on each side and pulling down. This will expose the programming area, and for our purposes, the “Learn” button.

1. On the motor unit, press and release the “Learn” button. The Learn indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds.

2. Within 30 seconds, enter a four digit personal identification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad. Then press and hold the ENTER button.

3. Release the ENTER button when the motor unit lights blink. The code has been “learned”/stored/activated.

Good Luck, and I Hope this Helps!
Gail

How to change an existing, known PIN
(Changing an existing PIN can be done with the wireless remote keypad, and does not require access of the motor unit.)

From the keypad:

1. Enter the four digits of the present PIN, then press and hold the # button. The opener light will blink twice. Release the # button.

2. Enter your new 4-digit PIN and press Enter. The motor unit lights will blink once when the PIN has been “learned”/stored/activated. Test by entering the new PIN, and pressing Enter.
