Question about Samsung Galaxy Tab Tablet PC
I JUST BOUGHT MY TABLET TODAY AND WHEN I TRIED TO SWITCH IT ON FOR THE FIRST TIME, IT DOESN'T WANT TO SWITCH ON. I HAVE FOLLOWED THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS AND PUT IT ON CHARGE, STILL IT WONT SWITCH ON. EVEN WHEN IT'S ON CHARGE, IT DOESN'T SHOW ON THE SCREEN THAT IT'S CHARGING. PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, I WOULD BE SO GREATFUL. AM I REALLY JUST THAT NAIVE TO ACCEPT THAT I BOUGHT A BROKEN TABLET?

To correct this issue, please follow the steps below.
1. Press and hold down the power button whilst at the same time touching the screen (you may have to wait up to 30 seconds as it clears the system).
2. You will then notice the battery indicator pops up.
3. The Tablet will then reboot. Everything goes back to normal.
4. If that fails to work, connect the power cable and repeat the above steps.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: samsung galaxy tablet is not
Make sure you are using the AC adapter as the Tab cannot charge solely from a USB cable connected to a computer or similar. If it is still not charging, your device's battery or connector has probably failed and will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps, Alistair

SOURCE: I bought my Samsung Galaxy
It sounds to me like you have an issue with your Galaxy Tab's charging port.
Fortunately it is still under warranty if you've just recently purchased it.
Take it back to the store or contact Samsung for a warranty replacement. They may be able to help you recover items from the memory.
Hope this helped!
