Question about Microwave Ovens
When you hit "Start" to
microwave, do the inside light, cooling fan, and turntable all
If so, then it is likely a loose connection or bad component in the high voltage section
If not, then it may be a door switch (see help file here) or bad connection or component on the controller.
Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?
We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here
If it has a loud hum it may be a shorted high voltage diode or bad magnetron. A growling sound may be a bad magnetron.
Yours should have a "mini-manual" (technical sheet) hidden either behind the grille or control panel. It's very helpful in finding and testing parts.
There is a video here showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.
