Can't connect to internet using dial-up

Each time I dial up to my ISP I repeatedly get the message: Cannot connect, port already in use by another device. How do I trace this other device and disable it?

Go to Control Panel then select Phone and Modem. Select the Modems tab. The port used will be displayed there.
