My 4.5 yr old i1042 will barely make it up an incline and almost stops when doing a 180 degree turn. What happened to my power??? Thanks!

I had the same problem with my 2011 i1042. Turned out to be drive belt not snug enough. Installed new drive belt all OK now - plenty of power & speed, no slipping. good luck. (BTW: it was a REAL PAIN to remove and replace the belt!)

My washer stopped. I let It cool down. turned on power I hear buzzing for 3-4 seconds then stops. Is motor burned out?

Sounds like the electrical motor has seized up or the brushes in the motor have worn. Try removing the brushes if you can and turn them 180 degrees and replacing them that way. Best of luck!

How tight do lifters need to be in a 1988 honda dx

.008" intake, .010"exhaust, turn engine to tdc #1 compression, adjust #1 cyl rocker arms, turn crankshaft 180 degrees and adjust #3 cyl rocker arms, rotate another 180 degrees & adjust #4, than another 180 to adjust #2.

MOST likely cause is a worn/failed drive belt. I'd replace that first - be SURE to use a Kevlar belt or you'll be repeating the repair in a very short time frame.

Reset timing

A little odd. Here's how to find TDC of the compression stroke: Pull #1 plug out, use a socket on crank pulley and turn clockwise with your finger over plug hole. As crank nears 0 degrees on compression stroke, you can feel the pressure build up under your finger. You wont feel any pressure on the exhaust stroke as crank approaches and passes the zero degrees mark. Keep turning one revolution till you are on the compression stroke-you will definitely feel the pressure build up. Stop at 0 degrees-Now the rotor SHOULD be pointing to number one spark plug tower. Good luck.

The person befor me took the #3 fuse shipping fuse the only fuse with a black bracket around it and turned it 180 degrees this makes you losse the memory but your lights turn off etc...

The scooter charges and shows full charge when started. Scooter will not drive uphill - certainly seems to lack torque - when driving up hill battery indicator drops to red

Either the hill is too steep of a grade/incline, the weight of the rider is more than the scooter is designed to carry, or the battery does not have enough power. If the batteries are old or have not been maintained properly, they may not be getting a deep solid charge that is needed to operate on hilly terrain. This is indicated when the batteries show a full charge, and then drop off quickly after a short period of use. Make sure that you are not exceeding the recommended weight limit for the scooter and that your batteries are less than 2 years old. Inclines of more than 5-6 degrees are typically not recommended for safe operation.
I hope this information is helpful to you, good luck!

LX90 Dec pointing out by 4 degrees over run

Go onto www.cloudynights.com and post this in the LX member forum-- and or go on YAHOO groups and post this in the LX90 forum--

Are you absolutely sure that your TIME and DATE and DAYLIGHT SAVINGS (yes-no) are correct.

On my LX90 the first alignment star is always NOT in the eyepiece but everything is OK once I center both alignment stars.

Heater is not getting hot anymore!

Hi Phyllis, it sounds like your thermostat is stuck open, which results in the engine not being able to maintain operating temperature. This would explain the lack of heat. For your car to run at peak efficiency, u need to replace the thermostat, and enjoy having heat again!

These unit normally, if frost free model has a defrost cycle. It is possible that at the time you noticed it the system was in its defrost mode.
