One thing to try is set it on its side or back or shake it to check to loose parts.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. Controller is confusedA power surge or random non-reproducible action of the universe may have resulted in the controller's program ending up in an infinite loop. Pull the plug for a minute or two to reset it.
  2. Defective Interlock switchesThis can result in the controller thinking the door is open and ignoring you.
  3. CleaningCleaning solutions (spray cleaner) may have gotten inside and shorted out the touchpad or controller. If this happens remove the touchpad, let it air dry for a few days, and then attach it back on the microwave.

Hi, I need to know which light bulb to buy for my old Sanyo Miocrowave oven. It is Model: EM-2500-LA, Serial: V53510658, Year of purchase: 1985.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly,
The part number for the 20W light bulb is 4612S16400. It has been discontinued and is no longer available no matter where I have checked. I started my search for your bulb 2 minutes after you posted your question. You may be able to carry the bulb into a LOCAL appliance parts supply store front and find a suitable alternative. Do not install anything larger than 30 W but you can use anything from 15 - 30W as long as the bulb will fit in the socket.

PAC Parts is the primary source for Sanyo parts and you can see the result I got there:

Repair Clinic Same result
Union Electronic Distributors
http://www.ued.net/ued/addItems.do?itemCode=SFS4612S16400

I wish I had better news but this result is what the results of an after market search have revealed.

If your good with appliance repairs here are some alternatives: (Only first 5 entries)

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Would the H.V. Capacitor cause my microwave to stop working

If the HV capacitor goes open circuit the voltage doubler circuit will fail and result in no power to the Magnetron.
If the HV capacitor goes short circuit that will result in an extra load on the power transformer eventually failing the mains fuse.
Either way the magnetron will not be able to produce power.

I was given a Galanz Grill/Microwave Oven WD900A for my 54th birthday 24 jan 2008 it is July 2008 and the micro wave has lost its heat power. It saddens me that a real nice microwave only had a short...

In your owner's manual, you should be able to find contact info for Galanz so they can arrange for repair. Hopefully it has a full year's warranty.

Otherwise, I would ask the person who gave it to you what dealer or store they purchased it from, and the store should have contact information for Galanz in your country.

Good luck.

F3 light comes on the front panel and microwave does not work

F3 means a shorted keypad.

On this model (assuming it's JVM1320WB02) the repair cost would run about $115 if we do it for you. We regularly repair these for customer nationwide.

If you prefer to do it yourself, you can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, which is very helpful when troubleshooting.

Full details of our service are at http://www.microwavedisplay.com but if you still have questions, please reply to me directly via my site.
