Hi Prabu
To answer what format does your player needS for video, it will be WMA.
For Pictures the format will be: JPEG, BMP
According to the user manual you will use "Songbird" to download videos to your player, the manual can be downloaded from this webpage: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=en&scy=us&ctn=SA4ARA16KF/37
User Manual Website: http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa4ara16kf_37/sa4ara16kf_37_dfu_aen.pdf
If you need to download "Songbird":

www. philips.com/Songbird or www.philips.com/support.

SOURCE: Philips Gogear 1GB - File format not supported

There are a few different possibilities.

1)Your subscription to your digital music service such as Napster, etc has expired. Sorry - unless you renew your subscription, you will not be able to play these songs again.
2) Your songs have DRM-encryption on them. To check and see, right click on an individual song name in Windows Media Player, and click on "License" or "Digital Rights"; if the affected songs have DRM encryption, then get DRM-removal software.
3) Your songs do NOT have DRM-encryption on them. In this instance, follow the procedure for item#2, except click on the link in the License or digital Rights tab that says "acquire license" (make sure you are connected to the internet first).

This player cannot play mp4 files only mp3 files. When the files are copied to the MP3 player the computer can play the mp4 files from the MP3 player but when you play these mp4 files straight from the MP3 Go Gear it cannot see or play these files.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

My iriver ipod is not playing any video file.

are you sure your video files are compatible with the file format of your player? What is the format of your video files? Is it .3gp, .mp3, .wma, .mp4?? There are lots of file formats, and I know iPod can play .mp3 and .mp4. So it's probably the same with your player. However, you can always convert your files to make it compatible with your player, download a converter from a site or go to this one I'll give you: http://www.applian.com/replay-converter/demo.php this is one converter I know that works pretty well. Good luck. Any questions? Just reply to this. :)

Mitone MITMP25 plays only videos in MTV format, so you should use the software included to convert all videos into MTV format before you can play those. See page 21 in user manual :-)

Warning File Format Error

It seems that your trying to play a video that the media player does not support. The video works on your computer because the computer supports many more video file formats that the media player does. Make sure that the video your trying to play has a .mp4 file extension after the file name, meaning that it is a mp4 file. Try another known working mp4 video file.
good luck and i hope this has helped.
