Problem for Sony Optiarc AD-7170S Burner

No support driver

This burner was loaded on vista and worked fine until lately. Now it will not play or record. Under windows media player says cannot play the file as player might not support the file type or might not support codec that was used to compress the file. Under control panel programs and features why no Music media player ? Thankyou

This is not the fault of your CD/DVD-ROM.
This is the problem of video codecs that need to be installed to play the video.

Please download and install the file from

http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/windows/multimedia/video/k-lite_codec_pack/klcodec470f.exe

This will completely solve your problems.
