a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Windows XP problem
Is the problem you are having that xp doesn't find the hard disk to install on? If so, then your laptop has a SATA harddrive and this is not supported by xp. a custom driver needs to be loaded for sata support, the setup program asks you to press a button in the begining of the setup to load this driver, unless your laptop has a diskette drive, this will be a little complex. let me know if this is the issue you have or how can I help you?

what is the error message that you're getting.. usually windows vista will not downgrade your operating system to windows xp. You may need to remove vista before you can load xp.
make sure to save a back up of all of your important files before you do that.

SOURCE: hi, i am unable to
Some copys of windows XP can not detect a SATA hard drive what you need to do is get hold of a later dvd copy of XP only the lastist dvd copys of XP are setup to detect SATA hard drives. It has to be a DVD copy as the CD copys do not detect SATA drives. Find some one with a new computer with SATA drives that has windows XP installed on it and try there copy of XP on your computer. Hopes this helps.

You're Hard Drive may be dead. If XP is starting to install and then it goes to the Blue Screen of Death, that's most likely your problem. There's a slight chance that you're power inverter has a fluctuating power level that is causing a disruption, but that's very unlikely. Have you done any tests with any boot CD's to check the hard drive's function?

Obviously, the most convenient way to downgrade is to do so without reformatting. In order to do that, you need to have a real retail CD of Windows XP. If all you have is a recovery disk that came with your computer, you’re not going to be able to do it this way. You will need to reformat.
To downgrade, use the following as a guide:
ren windows winvista
