You can try doing a hard reset and it will probably give you the option once you do that:

To hard reset the device, perform the following steps:1. Tap Start. 2. Tap Settings. 3. Tap the System tab.

4. Tap the Clear Storage icon. 5. Type the indicated word or numbers, and tap Yes. The device resets and powers on.

Window in not starting

Findout from MDA site what is the 'reset to factory default settings' is. Remove the memory card and reset. It will do away with the new SW that you installed. You will loose all settings that you made and the SW that you installed. But your phone will be as good as brand new. In case of Nokia the code is *#7370#. Yours may be different.

T-Mobile MDA won't hold a charge

if you insurance on your phone I recommend using it, I had a MDA for a couple years and had about every problem in the book, but not that one. It sounds like you've done everything possible, the only other thing i could think of is a hard-reset. Anything beyond that would tinkering with the internal hardware.

I think you can get a MDA pretty cheap on ebay these days
