Question about Televison & Video
The thermostat apparently won't stay connected and the installer is useless. If I disable the wi-fi and then enable it and reconnect, it will connect for anywhere from a few minutes to several hours but it always disconnects. I get the error "connection to server has not been established or has been lost". My laptop, phone, and Blu-ray player can all connect just fine. Can anyone offer any help before I rip this thing off the wall out of frustration?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If there are red and white RCA jacks on the back of the BR player and on the receiver you should be able to get sound. The same as your VHS.

I am not an expert a "tinkerer"at best but I do have the 3600 like you and I have no problems connecting. Make sure there aren't any spaces or special characters in you router name. Follow your instruction manual and get the 3600 connected first then try netflix: Menu, setup, network, set your settings and it will tell you available networks, choose yours, enter your security code then do a connection test. If its not connecting at what step are you having a problem?

I have a sony vaio laptop and a BDPS560 which connected automatically. Is the green WLAN light on the blueray lit up?
On the laptop, if public is set for the location in Windows network settings, devices will not be shared automatically. Hope this helps S.Newsham

It may well be that these Blu Ray are the new generation discs. You may need to download the Firmware upgrade file burn it to a Cd and run it by pressing Play.
Goto LG support site download

This is a common problem. If you go to the Insignia web site and find the forums, you will see a 40 page list of wireless connection problems. The wireless section of this player is junk. Use the wired connection and save yourself a lot of aggravation.
