Lennox iComfort thermostat won't stay connected

The thermostat apparently won't stay connected and the installer is useless. If I disable the wi-fi and then enable it and reconnect, it will connect for anywhere from a few minutes to several hours but it always disconnects. I get the error "connection to server has not been established or has been lost". My laptop, phone, and Blu-ray player can all connect just fine. Can anyone offer any help before I rip this thing off the wall out of frustration?

SOURCE: I can't get our Samsung Blu-ray player(Model

I am not an expert a "tinkerer"at best but I do have the 3600 like you and I have no problems connecting. Make sure there aren't any spaces or special characters in you router name. Follow your instruction manual and get the 3600 connected first then try netflix: Menu, setup, network, set your settings and it will tell you available networks, choose yours, enter your security code then do a connection test. If its not connecting at what step are you having a problem?

SOURCE: The Insignia NS-WBRDVD blu ray player will not

This is a common problem. If you go to the Insignia web site and find the forums, you will see a 40 page list of wireless connection problems. The wireless section of this player is junk. Use the wired connection and save yourself a lot of aggravation.

I want to connect a NEST thermostat with WiFi to my Lennox furnace. The existing iComfort by lennox has 4 wires, R, I+, I-, and C. Where would these connect on the Nest?

They don't. And why would you want to trade it out??? You are currently running off the communicating terminals. If you are going to install a nest you will have to match the nest wiring with the legacy/24volt terminals on the furnace control board and likely the outdoor unit will need rewired as well. Not extremely difficult but why??? The nest is not what it's cracked up to be!!

My Lennox MS7 heat pump was installed about a year ago and hasn't had any problems until last week. It has started changing settings (like on or off, higher temperature, light on or off) without prompting...

Go to the unit locate the control module. Take wires to thermostat out. Now jump from R to Y your AC should come on. Jump R to W your heat should come on. Jump R to G your blower should come. If you have done these and it stay on or run as it should then you need a new THERMOSTAT.

Lennox furnace won't start

Check the circuit board to see if the little 1 amp car fuse is blown, if it is replace it, if not, check to make sure the furnace is on and the door switch is engaged. if that doesn't work call a proffesional to come diagnose the furnace.

Furnace computer won't let furnace light

What is the model number? I have an SLP98 (installed on 11/29/2011).... and if I take the cover off the front of the furnace the panel that has the fancy "Lennox" badge on it) you will see two clear round windows about the size of a half dollar (one high on the furnace box and one lower on the blower box.) If you look downward into the window on the blower box you can see a red LED display that will sometimes flash error codes like E228 (one character at a time). If your model has something like this, let me know. I've done some DIY fixes recently out of necessity....and their easy.....and several technicians confessed they didn't know much, if anything, about the newer high effieciency Lennox gas furnaces.

At tstat press options. Press installer setup. Yes, you are qualified. System settings, non heat pump. Gas/ oil heat. Save changes. That should do it with no wiring changes.
