Question about Refrigerators

Open Question

My Dometic RM7361 3 way fridge has stopped working on gas. When I select gas on the control panel it ticks as if trying to light but trips out after ticking for a while and leaves a flashing yellow light on the ccontrol panel rather than turning green as it should if lit. I have looked at the back of the fridge and I can see the electrode sparking ok but there appears to be no gas for it to ignite. I notice wires coming from the black control box to the igniter and to some sort of gas valve. Is the control box not ttelling the gas valve to operate or is the valve faulty. Each of these parts seem to be around 100stg on the net so dont want to get it wrong. Anyone any suggestions or ideas as to whats wrong?

SOURCE: FRIDGE WILL NOT IGNITE IN GAS MODE

The part you are looking for is the thermo couple. It senses the heat from the flame and holds the gas valve open. The clicking will try three times and then go into lock out. You then will need to reset on the front of the fridge. When installing the thermo couple do not over tighten.

Dometic RM2652 was working fine then stopped - no lights at the control panel above the doors.

Usually there is a short in the system when fuse is blown. Check the cord as sometimes mouse can damage the cord. It is a posibility.
Check power to the electronic board.

What do I check to fix my Dometic Americana refrigerator. It won't start using electric or gas.

Fist off before you get crazy replacing things make sure the camper is level when testing this. Gas will not run to it if you are not level. Also make sure the gas is turned on and make sure you have selected automatic or gas only on your fridge. Also give it about an hour before you test the temp. These take a bit longer to start feeling cool. If all of that does not work you will need to check the refrigerant, igniter(for the gas side) and the compressor. Also make sure the fuses are good to go at the main panel and that the breakers are in the "on" position

Dometic RM2652 RV Refrigerator trips GFCI

Hi!!

Right beside the circuit panel, there is a grill, remove the 4 screws to gain access to the transformer/battery charger. You'll see a double power outlet, one cord is from fridge, the other is from the transformer. UNPLUG Transformer cord and reset breaker.

It will take a couple of minutes for the fridge to change to AC if you have it in AUTO. If everything works fine, REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSFORMER/BATTERY CHARGER.

Don't forget to rate this answer, Good Luck!!!

I have a Dometic fridg in my 2005 motorhome and when I start my f

You need to unpush the gas button on the front control. If the gas button is pushed in, then it is trying to run on gas and with the tank empty, it is unable to light. That is why the check light is coming on. If you turn the gas side off and have it on auto, it should switch to the AC side and work fine.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

RM2652 fridge works on 110 and gas but won't switch between them

Remove the upper control board panel. Use a small screw driver, open the freezer door, under the control panel you will see a slot on each side. Put the screw driver in the slot and push up. That side of the panel will pull out. Do the same on the other side. Turn the control panel over and unplug the circuit board and wait 15 seconds. Plug the board back in and give that a try. If that does not work replace the upper board. To order a board you will need Model, Serial and product # found on the inside of the fridge.
