Re: No sound from anything but FM

Disconnect whatever's connected to the blue wire behind the unit, and re-connect it to the blue/white wire instead.

Hi.. I bought a used vehicle(2010 Ford F 150) which has a farenheit dvd-36 system I tried to play the dvd and the monitor, wire, remote....everything is working good. but, the only problem is that the

OK....Pull the dvd player out. Look to see if it has speaker wires coming off the back. If not, does it have rca plugs???? (red and white). if so then you are gonna need an amplifier to get sound. If it DOES hve speaker wires, chec to see if they are hooked up to the speakers in the vehicle.

I have a Pioneer AVIC-D2 DVD Nav/6.5" Screen/AM/FM/CD Player Car Video Player i can play music on it ,wen i insert a dvd the screen goes black i can hear the dvd playing on my speakers but no picture comes...

there is a safety brake wire that needs to be hooked up. If it was installed professionally, have them explain it to you. There is not supposed to be any video players in view of the driver while in motion. Stop your car and put on the parking brake. If you installed it yourself, you probably didnt hook up the wire. Look inthe install manual for DVD safety wire.

I have a similar problem with a Rockford Fosgate MP3 deck. Mine will get FM just fine (about half the time) when you first start the car, but over the course of a few minutes, the signal will break down until there is nothing. The other half of the time, nothing from startup on. Try this, at least; pull the unit and make sure the antenna is hooked up and secure. If that's not the problem, I haven't been able to find anything else, but a few other report the same thing. It might just be time to buy a new unit.

Should wire HU's Power Const to Amp's Remote On. Instead you wired HU's Power Antenna to Amp's Remote On. So the stock amp got triggered only in radio mode.

Me too same problem, no audio with the XM. Do you think it has anything to do with Audio-Video out setting on the unit?

It is what Turbo911 stated. If you switch the solid blue wire (powere antenna) with the blue&white wire (power control) this will solve the issue. The blue wire is made to power an antenna in which is only used when on FM source. When this is connected to amps, it will shut off your amp as soon as you leave FM radio

see in the manual if theres a way to retune the wireless system most all units do have a little control someware where you can put your cars stereo on to a station with nothing on it and then you simply tune and tweek the adjustment so it sounds good. if you dont see it go to where you bought it or contact the service dept in the owners manual. Good luck
