When turned on I get a flash across the screen within five seconds followed by a blank screen, sound is good. I have the following votages on the PSB 3104 313 60095, cn1307 pins by # 1-35v, 2-18v, 3-15v, 4-gd. cn1304 1-13v, 2-13v, 3-gd. cn1309 1-0v, 2-0v, 3-gd.? cn1306 1- across 2-176v. cn1305 1-5v, 2-5v, 3-gd. cnIM02 1-0v, 2-0v, 3-19, 4-19v, 5-38v, 6-38v, 7-19v, my guess on pin 1 & 2 both are gd. "grounds?" This is my daughters TV so I have it just resting on my dinning room table with no cable connected to it but there is sound coming from the speakers, a hissing noise. If it is the power supply which Is my guess can I repair it with a cap or transformer? Thanks for your help in this, GOD BLESS. Richie B
what you have is a bad inverter transformer on the inverter board. I nashed my teeth on this problem for a long time because no diagram is avail. Here's the fix for you:
Remove the invertor board. Take an Ohm meter and measure the outer 4 legs of each transformer. Between pins 1 and 4 (side with the white dot near leg 1) you should read .3 ohms. This side is usually good. Between pins 5 and 8 you should read approx 1.8 to 1.9Kohms. ANYTHING above that is a defective transformer. I'm sorry I do not have the part number for this, I've just been using an old board from a set with a cracked panel. If I can find a part number I will try to post. You can try Encompass parts on the web, they may be able to supply part number and transformer with location number.
I had the same problem and after testing all the legs on the transformers I accidently created a groun dwith one of the lead from my multimeter. I procede to test the the ground on the transformer board and to my surprise one was missing. I created a ground by grounding the ground from the transformer board the the chassis of the tv. This was 3 or 4 mths ago and it still is kicking. This was my problem.

Have you fixed it or gotten rid of it yet? Because if not, I have a solution for you. I had the exact same problem and TV as you, and I fixed mine by leaning it forward. I think there may be a leveling safety feature for the screen, and it gets out of wack. So maybe try leaning it back and forward until you find the sweet spot.

I use this tv for a PC monitor, HD satellite viewing, and XBOX 360. I was having intermittent problems with the HDMI audio bleeding in to the other inputs. Sometimes if for instance I turned on the PC, I could hear the audio from the HDMI output on the satellite receiver through the TV speakers. Other times, I might just hear a crackle in the audio when in PC mode. If I switched back and forth between HDMI and PC inputs a couple of times, both issues would go away. I tell this just as background to what happened next. Since I have my PC hooked to the VGA input on the TV, I have been forced to manually switch the HDMI input from the Satellite receiver to my XBOX 360. (Sorry, I was too cheap to buy the $100 switch). Anyway, I usuall make this switch hot (TV on, Satellite receiver on, but XBOX off. This system although a pain, was working until yesterday. I was watching HD satellite, when I decided to play XBOX. I switched the HDMI cable, but when I turned the XBOX on, it wouldn't start up. I immediately assumed my XBOX had crapped out , but when I switche the HDMI cable back to the satellite, the TV would not recognize the signal. I have since tried the XBOX and satellite on another tv with HDMI, and both still work fine. I am thinking that some sort of switch in the tv has gone out, but I don't know. Should I just junk this TV for a new 1080P? My problem with doing that is that I use PIP with the PC on one side, and HDMI on the other. This tv does that, but I can't find another tv that does.
