Yes i may be of assistance to your dilemma, if you notice the hinges on the bottom of the door you should be able to open it slightly and gently but firmly pull upwards and outwards which will allow the door to prop off. i would suggest placing the door on either cardboard or a soft rug. If this is not the case please write back and i would gladly help.
Please post what you do and how you did it I look forward to your posts

It appears that the timer has gone faulty, possibly because of a short in the bulb holder, which probably explains why there is no display and the main oven not working. the top will still work as it is not controlled by the timer.
the solution hear would to be fit a new timer.

So, you should have a "-s-" being displayed if you have the child lock on.
The switch for selecting the oven mode( oven, fan oven, grill etc)
-from its off position, turn it one click left so the light comes on, and then click it back to off. Do this three times in quick succession. The "-s-" should now have disappeared and you can use your oven again.

To rtemove the nut, hold the fan blades, and at the same time undo the securing nut clockwise as though you were tightening it, as it is a left hand thread, and vice versa for tighteming it again
Please rate mhy solution.

If the thermostat light is lit, then it cannot be the temp control, as this what is causing the light to work, indicating that the power is there . I f I were you, I would ascertain that you are getting a feed to the element.
If you are, then new element is faulty, if no feed then you need to trace the wires back to thermostat and work from there.
