Change my maytag dryer from propane to gas?

Go to an appliance parts store and get a conversion kit. It should have everything you need. Make sure you change the pressure regulator.

Normally natural gas appliances have a different nozzle size than the propane units. i would check with your propane/gas dealer to make sure.

How do i convert gas dryer to propane kenmore elite

kenmore has instructions along with the correct orfices you need to burn propane the only difference between gas and propane orfices is the hole size in the center of the orfices and there is very little difference in size propane is smaller hole because the pressure difference between natural gas low pressure proppane higher pressure

Flame size will not regulate. Authorized Jenn-Air repairman came out and replaced the regulator and I still have inconsistent flame size on all four burners. About 1/2 the time it's like it's...

What other appliances work on gas? The furnace? The water heater? A gas dryer? How much propane is in the tank? I wonder how the cooktop would work on a seperate tank? If it worked perfect on another tank I would say you have a plumbing problem.

I'm converting my natural gas dryer over to LP gas. I've changed the orifice but it is saying to close the regulator. It says the same thing with Natural gas but that doesn't make sense because it isn't...

I know from working on piles of restaurant equipment, that when you change over from natural to propane, you have to change the orifices and the regulator. Most natural gas equipment needs 3.5-4.0" of W.C. (that is, water column) and most propane gas equipment needs 9.0-11.0" W.C. The density and specific gravity of the gases are different. If it is glued so as you can not make any adjustments to the pressure, change the regulator to a propane one. Most natural gas regulators can not be adjusted to the propane pressure needed. Please be careful as working with gas can be dangerous. Natural gas is usually lighter than air and will rise but propane is heavier and will "pool" or "puddle" in low areas and can cause explosions in the right circumstances.

I have a Frigidaire Stove, Model # FGF316ASA. It was changed from propane to natural gas. The oven works well. The burners, however, will only burn a low flame. Is there a solution for this?

When converting an appliance from propane gas to natural sometimes a technician will drill the orifice to a larger size rather than replace the orifices. Either way is fine, but sometimes the orifices don't get drilled to the correct size. The regulator must be on the propane setting if it is a convertible regulator. If your oven is working fine.... the top burner orifices probably need to be checked that they are the correct size. A simple fix.

How do you get into the dryer to change the natural gas connector to a propane connection?

Not sure what country you are in, so I am unsure that the same conditions apply.

The gasline from the meter must be interrupted. Propane bottles connection pipe can then be brazed to the copper line . By law a propane regulator must be fitted between the bottle and the gqas line going to the dryer.

This must be fitted by a licensed gas fitter ( plumber) so if any problems occur your insurance will pay out on fire or other faults.

Placing the propane bottle line directly to the dryer without a regulator and inside a building is dangerous and unlawful, as most dryers are not vented correctly to deal with propane.

Propane to nat. gas dryer

Good day,
Yes. Two reasons. The orifice that the gas comes out is a different size, and the regulator that determines gas pressure is disabled when using Propane, since propane has the regulator on the tank.

See here.

If you are not 100% sure what your doing, call a qualified company to perform the conversion. Isn't worth the gamble.
Propane is, unlike natural gas, heavier than air. It can pool in a low spot then ............

I am converting my gas dryer to propane and would like to know if I have to remove the natural gas regulator before hooking up to LP gas?

Most american dryers have the regulator built into the gas valve.
you will need to put he correct parts on the gas valve.

do you have another regulator on the gas line before the machine?

If you dont feel comfortable doing this conversion you should call your propane supplier and have them do it for you.
