The diagram and info will be helpful for any future projects. The reply msg. was a little confusing with ' timers' in the response. Thanks for the info.

Let me post the page on different website, so words in the link are not confusing:http://hometips.me/How-to-add-outlet.htm... Don't forget to match wire size and breaker size so new wire is not overloaded and a fire hazard:http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-code-w... Now this page is also confucing because it contains information on motors... which is useful if your new outlet is going to support heavy motor load. Add a comment if you have questions about wiring technique or figuring safe loading on wires. Safety is paramount.

Is it possible to run an outlet off this switch

If you want to add an outlet the type of switch doesn't matter, the way the circuit is wired does and the size of the outlet box also does, as well as the number of wire connections in the box. How many cables are in the box? If only one black and one white, you cannot add a new outlet.

Add 12 volt outlet switched by ignition

Look in your owners manual for the accessory fuse. That line turns off. Also, consider a 12 volt relay between the seat and your power source. A small toggle switch will work well for a relay.

Diagramed instructions of how to use an existing 110 outlet and make another outlet/lightswitch

The link above shows basic wiring plan for adding a switch
The switch always turns the Hot wire on-and-off.
When selecting wire size, use same size that connects to plug
So if plug has a yellow-sheathed cable, then use #12 wire
If plug has white sheathed cable, use #14 wire
#14 is smaller wire than #12

I want to use an X-10 Pro appliance module outside, in an outlet that has a Leviton outdoor covered electrical outlet cover. The appliance module does not fit even with the cover completely open. Is it...

Instead of trying to put your appliance module outside, and risk it getting wet, why not add another outlet inside the house, near the existing outdoor outlet, or anywhere along the path of the existing wire that feeds that outlet. Re-route the wires that were going to the outdoor outlet to this new outlet instead. Then plug the appliance module into the new outlet, and plug into that a new wire leading to the existing outdoor outlet. If you are really lucky, there will be enough slack wire so that you can cut the wire going to the outlet and insert the new outlet in-between. In any case, you will need to put a plug on the wire feeding the outdoor outlet. Work safe, don't forget to turn off the breaker first! Good luck.

I would like to add a outlet to an existing outlet

You will need to wire the outlet, and then run a jumper from the white to the white on switch 1 and 2.
you will need to wire the end switch and middle swtiches normally with the ground and black wires.
the white wire jumpers will run from outlet (GFI if in a bathroom), to middle switch hot, to end switch hot.

I have a Leviton 5625 (rocker switch and outlet) and am trying to replace an existing light switch with it. I have a black and white wire tied to the top and bottom left screws, respectively, in the...

Ok - you have to figure out which two wires are supplying the power. Then which wires go to the outlet. Then the last wires should go to the light. Connect all the white wires together. then the black from the power cable goes to the black of the outlet. Add a short wire to the black group and put it to one side of the switch. put the black wire from the light cable to the other side of the switch.

Hard drive

Yes, it is possible to do so. Adding a DVD is pretty much the same for most PCs. I suggest getting an 80-wire cable. The simplest solution is to replace the existing CD drive and cable with a new 80-wire cable and a DVD drive. You'll have to get drivers for it as well as software to use it (if the drive doesn't come with any). If you want to add it and use the existing CD, then you'll need to open the case, add the 80-wire cable (in addition to the existing cable) into the second IDE cable connector on the motherboard. Check these instructions from Dell. (Note they suggest connecting it to the existing cable, but that may or may not be possible.) Go to:
