Question about Water Heaters
Just had new boiler installed and it was running OK for initial few days but now getting "IGNITION LOCKOUT" and asking me to (1)check all other gas appliances, (2) Reset, (3) call installer. Cooker is working fine. Doing a reset is not resolving the problem as it re-occurs straight away. Any solution please as my installer is also baffled, he has never had this problem before.
Air in the system or low gas pressure?

Testimonial: "Eventually had to get Ideal engineer out to solve problem. It was a faulty Spark Ignitor unit. This was in a new boiler that had only running for a few hours!"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

TAKE A SHPO VAC AND CLEAN AREA. MAKE SURE YOU PAY SPECIAL ATT. TO THE PILOT LIGHT. FIND BUTTON HOLD IN AND IGNITE DONT LET GO WHEN IT LIGHTS FOR AT LEAST FIFTEEN SEC.. YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE TO TURN THE THERMASTAT OR KNOB TO PILOT FIRST. AFTER IT HAS LIT TURN UP FLAME

you could have a flow problem due to sludge or scale in the boiler, it could be a pump problem as it may not be circulating enough water around the system. or it could be a faulty thermostat if it is not cutting out soon enough.
1st try turning the boiler stat down to its minimum, if it still over heats then it is probably the stat.
if you have a switch on your pump to increase the speed make sure it is on setting 3. if the pump is old then it may be time for a replacement.

The instructions for installing the sensor will probably included with the new part. Also, when you receive the part and actually see it, you will probably know where it will go. Sometimes, things like this happen even with new units. I have had bad thermocouples on brand new units right from the factory. It happens and unfortunately it happens to us sometimes. Good luck and if you get the part and still have trouble, contact them again. If you would have bought a GE (Rheem) unit, they would have sent a tech out to your house at no cost. I'm not a fan of Whirlpool water heaters.

SOURCE: I need to know how to fix my boiler as i have not had this one before its worcester 24i junior and some how the mains got turned off so obviously the boiler went off but now it wont work theres a red
All these machines need 0,8 bar minimum pressure for one.
When significant drop of pressure call qualified repair man.
If this is not your regular work you are at mortal risk.
