if the password is the system pc then its easy there is a jumper on the mother board you change to reset the bios password
if the password is in windows then you need a disk or try F8 before windows starts up an choose safe mode and administrator

You should get it from the sales person who sold it. Otherwise you can clear the administrator password with tools available on the web. You may be safer using a system restore disk to return the computer to factory default settings.

If you want a clean install just format your XP drive. Then boot with your 2000 cd in the drive. Make sure it is bootable and your bios is set to boot from cd.
