Here are a few troubleshooting thoughts:
1) Check your charger contacts for film/debris. Use a pencil eraser to clean them. (This can be done on the charger and the battery.) If the charge light comes on and stays on consistently you know you have good contact.
2) Be certain your radio is shut off when on the charger.
3) New batteries sometimes need initialized. It will sometimes take 3 or more chargings to fully charge the battery. Check the date code of the new batteries to be certain what you obtained is truely new/fresh. Contact the vendor where you purchased the batteries and let them know of your difficulties in charging the new batteries.

Motorola radius cp200 will not hold a charge

when charging a new battery for the FIRST time, most require a full 24 hours to be properly charged. Failing to do this will drastically diminish the life of the battery. If you did fully charge the battery the first time, another issue is recharging after EVERY use vs charging when completely drained. Battery will develop memory (although the manf. will say other wise). If you charge after every use and have only used a third of the charge, after a few time of doing this, you will notice that the battery will not last as long. Try one more battery in just one raido. Fully charge it the first time and only recharge when COMPLETLY drained. If the battery is still not holding a charge, it is most likly a short in the radio itself. Return it.

My old 611 dosent hold the battery charge for long even though I have put in a new battery

An in car charger will not charge as well as the mains, when charging for the first time you should use the mains, and charge for at least 8 hours. If it didn't charge correctly, it will be the same low charge all the time, as the battery has a memory that makes it charge the same each time. Try charging from the mains, you might be lucky.

We have a 11 month old elite traveler scooter. The battery will not take a charge. We have had no previous problems. Any suggestions?

I just fixed this problem in a Go Go Elite that was less than 6 months old. We would plug in the charger and the "charge" light would not turn on, just the "power light" I took out the battery pack (check manual for instructions), removed the cover (8 philips head screws) and checked the voltage on the two batteries. One read 4.5 volts and the other 4.7 volts. They should both read at least 11 volts, ideally 12 volts. Evidently the Pride charger will not work if it detects that the batteries are too low. So I took out one battery at a time and connected a 12 volt auto trickle charger to it for 3 hours on each battery. Checked voltages and it brought them back up to 11.5 volts. I reinstalled the battery pack and then connected the Pride charger and THEN it showed a "Charge" light. I left the pride charger on for 12 hours and it brought it up to full charge.
Advice: Don't let your batteries get too low or the factory charger will not work.

Paslode battery wont hold charge.brought new battery, same thing.brought new charger, same thing. put battery in gun, fan runs and then the battery is flat again.

if you have bought a new battery and charger , and it still will not hold a charge. you might have bought a bad battery or charger , also the fan dosent allways run so the fan going off is not a sign of a dead battery. depress the trigger or safety and the fan should start up again

Midland rechargeable battery packs won't recharge and vibrate

You might contact Midland Radio Corp to see if they have a fix for your problem. If I had to give an educated guess I would say the batteries need jump started (which sometimes happens when they are new and too low of charge; or there is a problem where they contact the charger and they are not receiving a full charge; or they are defective. I am sure the factory would be happy to assist you in solving the issue.
