Lonovo ideapad tuns on but doesnt work

You turn on but it won't boot to your OS? or powers on (i.e LED power light comes on) but you get no display at all, not even Lenovo logo?

If it's not booting try booting from your windows CD/DVD and running a start up repair. This is a guide for Windows 7 but should be very similar process for Windows Vista.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ss/windows-7-startup-repair.htm

If you get no display at all (Not even a Lenovo splash screen) and just lights, try popping your battery out and power the system up on mains only. If this works, pop your battery back in, it should be begin to charge. You laptop should continue to work from now on. This is a problem that occurs from time to time on any laptop and is cleared this way.
If removing the battery doesn't work I would try removing/re-seating/swapping out RAM.

Let me know how it goes, I may be able to help further.

Lenovo battery not charging

Depending on your Operating system and weather you are using the Lenovo software, you can usually click on the battery symbol on the bottom right of the taskbar to see the percentage, what time is left to charge etc.
If there is no symbol that looks like a battery it should be in a box that pops up when you click the arrow symbol on the bottom right. Hope this helps.

How to connect wifi in lenovo g575

In order to connect to a wireless network and the Internet on an IBM Lenovo machine, you must first enable wireless networking via your computer's operating system. Allow about five minutes to enable your IBM Lenovo computer's wireless capabilities.

Click the Windows logo in the bottom left of your screen. Select "Control Panel" from the menu. Click the "Network and Internet" icon in the Control Panel. Click "Network and Sharing Center." Right click "Wireless Network Connection" icon. Select "Enable." Enable Wireless via Switch Check your IBM Lenovo laptop for a wireless networking switch. It is usually on the front of the computer above the keyboard. Slide the wireless switch to the "On" position. Look for a wireless light on the front of the laptop. In some cases a light will come on to indicate that wireless networking is active. Other switches, when active, reveal a green strip of plastic.

When turning my Lenovo on...the Lenovo logo pops up for a few seconds and the screen goes black with a blinking cursor in the top left corner. No way to exit or type anything onto the screen

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows is missing - its most critical, core files have been corrupted beyond repair. The only thing you can do is to reinstall using the recovery cd or your own Windows install disk.

Mine is lenovo g430.i use windows 7.the system doesnt switch on.the indicaters and the fan comes on and stays.but nothindg is displayed on screen.

Try to perform power drain first as initial troubleshooting.

Procedures:
Take out the battery
Unplugged the power adapter
Press and hold the power button for 30 secs
Put the battery back in
Plugged in the power adapter
Turn on the computer

If same issue will happened call our technical support department to have your laptop checked and scheduled for repair. This issue would be an LCD problem.

By the way. Is your unit still under warranty?

I have the acer aspire 5532 and windows error recevery keeps coming up please advice. It makes a weird noise and a blue screen pops up that says a problem has occured......

You will have to do a repair of your windows installation. You need to boot on your Windows DVD and do a "Repair" install. OR if you have System Recovery in the PC then you should try that first. Also you could try booting up in SAFE mode, press F8 before it boots, and when, if? it boots to desktop you could either troubleshoot, or restore your system to another time using system restore.
