Keurig giving system overheated error

That unit uses air pressure to move the water. When no water is transferred to the heater, the unit stops. This could be an issue with the water reservoir or the pump. Since you did not post the model number it is not possible to advise you further .

What needs to be replaced? Keurig B70 apart with inst from net

Dear Anonymous,

I am going to tell you two things. First, how to best repair your Keurig. Second, and more importantly, to reassemble your Keurig and take it back to BBB for a free exchange on a new one.

There are two main components that go bad on a Keurig. The air pump motor and the solenoid located directly above the power transformer. These two components will eventually fail on every Keurig ever made. To see why this is and how to repair them go to You Tube and search "Keurig Operation and Repair- Part 6". This will tell you how to repair the unit. If you need more information, watch Part 5 too.

However, there is an easier way to fix your Keurig and that is to return it to Bed, Bath & Beyond for a brand new unit. Returning is much easier that repairing. If you want more information on how to do this send me a quick email and I will send you the information on how to do it. My email is tom.morgan451@gmail.com. I have helped hundreds of people do this.

Our Keurig overheated and it melted the k-cup inside of it. Now it won't shut off without unplugging it.

The thermostat causes that problem it is already shorted hence it connected permanently the current causing a won't shut off without unplugging. Have it replace and it will go back to normal.
That's the solution to your problem friend
