Check your outer c/v joints..a torn boot is a dead giveaway for joint failure (boot fails, lets dirt into joint, joint fails) Also since you didn't mention if noise is also preaent standing still, check the exhaust to make sure it's not hitting floor pan anywhere. (most likely the joint though)

Hello
You should siphon out all the old gas you can. Replace with new gas. Check that the spark plug is good and the air filter is clean. Spray some carb cleaner in the carburetor.. Also, you should check the oil level and change the oil if it is black. If it tries to start after you spray the carb cleaner in but won't keep going then you know the carburetor needs a good cleaning

Your not going to here any knock from the engine the knock sensor detects detonation which is not detectable with the human ear. if you want to test the knock sensor you can tap the side of the block the engine should stumble for a couple of seconds if it does not change then the way the engine runs then the knock sensor is defective or hase buildup iside the engine and you will need to do a top engine clean. if you want instructions on how to do this just post another post to this reply This happens on engines that ave high mileage or acar that runs low grade like regular.

Probably one of your rod bearings is going out and knocking when under load. Get it fixed before it stops completely.

It sounds like you have a lifter that is sticking or the nut that holds the rocker arm has come loose. In eighter case you need to remove the valve cover to see if its the nut tightten to 20 ft lbs If its the lifter you can try to free it and make it move but to replace it you need to pull the head off Be sure this not an exhust that you are hearing they can sometimes sound similar especialy if the exhust manifold has a small crack in it. That can be repaired with out removeing the manifold
