SOURCE: i hear a knocking noise while driving

Check your outer c/v joints..a torn boot is a dead giveaway for joint failure (boot fails, lets dirt into joint, joint fails) Also since you didn't mention if noise is also preaent standing still, check the exhaust to make sure it's not hitting floor pan anywhere. (most likely the joint though)

SOURCE: Honda GCV160 Engine Won't Start

Hello
You should siphon out all the old gas you can. Replace with new gas. Check that the spark plug is good and the air filter is clean. Spray some carb cleaner in the carburetor.. Also, you should check the oil level and change the oil if it is black. If it tries to start after you spray the carb cleaner in but won't keep going then you know the carburetor needs a good cleaning

Your not going to here any knock from the engine the knock sensor detects detonation which is not detectable with the human ear. if you want to test the knock sensor you can tap the side of the block the engine should stumble for a couple of seconds if it does not change then the way the engine runs then the knock sensor is defective or hase buildup iside the engine and you will need to do a top engine clean. if you want instructions on how to do this just post another post to this reply This happens on engines that ave high mileage or acar that runs low grade like regular.

Probably one of your rod bearings is going out and knocking when under load. Get it fixed before it stops completely.

It sounds like you have a lifter that is sticking or the nut that holds the rocker arm has come loose. In eighter case you need to remove the valve cover to see if its the nut tightten to 20 ft lbs If its the lifter you can try to free it and make it move but to replace it you need to pull the head off Be sure this not an exhust that you are hearing they can sometimes sound similar especialy if the exhust manifold has a small crack in it. That can be repaired with out removeing the manifold

Sounds like debris in the carburettor. The carbs on these are relatively simple things which come apart easily. Check for debris or water in the float-bowl, and ensure both your idle and main jets are clear and you can see daylight through them.

1. add an octane booster to the fuel or try some high octane fuel (93 or above) and see if it stops rattling. Also make sure that the engine is not being lugged (throttled hard at low engine speeds) while in driving. If the rattling goes away or decreases check the fuel quality or, it probably has some engine issues like carbon build-up in the engine, overheating, or the timing may be off, or the engine is not running on all 4 cylinders.

Heavy knocking in the engine

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. This is not a good thing. If you have heavy knocking in the engine, you probably have a major problem inside the engine. Make sure the vehicle has oil in it, the correct amount. You need to have it looked at as soon as possible. The longer you go with it knocking, the bigger chance you have of making things worse. You could have a piston knocking or a cracked head. There really is no easy fix to this situation. The engine will need looked at by a mechanic. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks for using FixYa and have a good evening.

I would look at the rear brakes first but accidents do things tend to knock things out of line If say the frame yours is likely a unibody frame it could be a rear wheel baring noise Its just hard to say with out seeing it the door likely can be adjusted I do konw the odysseys are vary highly rated vehicles and tend to last a long time So have someone look at if it runs good its probably worth spending a few dollars on

Washing machine is working fine but has started making a real loud noise when spinning doesn't matter what speed or cycle it has always been real quite only had washer 3 years does not knock or seem out of...

As washing machines age some of the bearings and seals can begin to wear. After 3 years this wear my cause some noise but will not harm the operation of the appliance. Occasionally debris may become lodged around the drum. Visually check the drum for any lodged clothing, coins, plastic, etc. If you feel confident enough, remove the cover on the washing machine and check the drain for large debris.
If all else fails, installing an anti-vibration pad can lessen the amount of vibration/noise that you hear. Basically, even a small amount of vibration noise like you are describing can be amplified when it transfers to the floor of your laundry room. Try installing a set of small rubber anti-vibration pads like Silent Feet and you might be pleasantly surprised by the improvement.
If the noise gets worse or changes to a thumping or knocking, call you appliance technician or let me know. That may be the sign of something more serious, but I wouldn't be worried right now.
